    Hey everyone.

Just wanted to share with you an article that my mentor, O.D Joel Kestenbaum wrote about why he choose to be an Optometrist.

I tend to see that everyone who truly wants to pursue optometry has these same commonalities.

    Check out the article!

What he doesn't mention is that he works in a strip mall, working 6 days per week till 6 or 8 pm. So much for having a life.

He also doesn't mention that "The median income for a family was $98,233" where he lives.

Good for him. But just don't think this is the norm. It's a very rare exception. Most of us are fighting to get welfare patients in to make decent money.
