Here are my stats: cGPA 3.5, sGPA 3.3. MCAT 27.

I applied this cycle, but have little hope. I'm looking to apply to DO schools this cycle, and was intrigued at the DO/DMD program at NSU.

My interests lie in primary care serving underserved populations. I'm especially interested in community care and serving ethnic minority populations. Could you guys help me come up with a list of DO schools to apply to? I aim to apply to 10 DO schools, NSU being one of them.

Thanks in advance!

Whichever 10 you want. You are about dead center for competitiveness. NSU is a good school. I would stick to the older schools. Check out AACOM book. Its basically the MSAR for DO schools. Find 10 that are older than 30 years in areas you wouldn't mind being in. Use that to compile a list of 15 and then come back here with it and we can tell you which ones to drop. But I would say none of them are out of reach.

I would apply to: NSU, western, midwestern arizona, , TCOM, PCOM, DMU, midwestern chicago, OSU, MSU, and KCUMB 😀

If you're an MI or OH resident, I'd look into MSU-COM or OU(H)COM, as well. It looks like both of those have strong in-state preferences.

If the bolded are true, you should definitely check out ATSU-SOMA and their Community Health Center based curriculum. Your stated interests pretty much describe the focus of the school's emphasis.

I'd rather keep my state residency anonymous, but it doesn't have any DO schools.

Thanks everyone! I'll keep your suggestions in mind.

That is understandable, but just remember that some schools may not have a big IS bias, but they do have a very strong regional bias. PNWU is like this. From your list, PCOM might but I don't think it is large enough to make you NOT apply there.
