Hi guys,

This one comes from a Kaplan practice test:

Which of the following characterizes an open circulatory system?

A. Five aortic arches
B. Arteries branch into arterioles
C. Blood is oxygenated in the lungs
D. Xylem carries water to where it is needed
E. Blood flows from the dorsal vessel into sinuses, where it is collected

I believe it's E, but I'm unsure about A. Can anyone offer up an explanation?

Thanks.

five aortic arches are characteristic of Annelids/Earthworms, which have a closed circulatory system, so your answer E is right for open circulatory systems
