I know cis and Z both are using for same side. However, i do not know when z is favor over cis.

As far as I know Z is mostly used for nomenclature, but you can use cis as well!

cis and trans are for simple cmpd across a double bond, but E and Z are for labeling really big and large compound across a double bond, comparing two highest priority group.

Tell me about it bro. Personally, I've always been scared of the D-Day, but now I can't wait for it cause I'm sick of studying 😀
But I'm sure you'll do great!

cis and trans are for 2 substituents and E and Z are for more than 2.
