Wondering what people's thoughts were on cities or programs that allows a single guy or gal enough time to get out and meet people. Being single at this age is starting to scare me. 😎

Not to be sexist, but attractive women will do well anywhere they go...as with attractive men.

It's the ugly guys like myself who need to worry.

Of course, you're a doctor, right? Or you're going to be.. attractive, successful female friends of mine often find dating difficult because a lot of guys are intimidated. They don't want to be with a women who is more successful, or makes more money than they do. Your dating options may be limited to other very sucessful people, and you know what freaks they can be! Just look at your classmates!

I'm not sure they're intimidating.....it's just "what guy wants to marry another guy?"

Your replies speak to what my suspicion had been. Guys tend to be less interested in women who are successful/ambitious regardless of looks. The dating pool is significantly shrinks after med school.

Brainy girls are marriage materials.

As a male, you'd have to check out the girls' more tangible assets first. If she makes that cut, then you'd date her.

If you found out she's smart, then you'd consider getting more serious.

Nobody want to marry a dumb hottie. So yeah, maybe they get more dates, but you smart women don't have to worry too much....they might be getting them for the wrong reason.

And if you're smart AND sexy, you can get in touch with me.

There are 2 types of girls....dating girls and marrying girls.

Ha ha.. so idealistic. Dumb hottie = trophy wife for new doctor. Plenty of successful men marry dumb hotties. Smart hotties are few and far between anyway, so if you want to marry a hottie.. she will likely be a bit on the slow side.. The few smart hotties out there are all pursuing serious jobs in law, business, and medicine and don't have time for a family. The rest are just nuts.

See I think you have it slightly wrong. Its not that somone is successful or ambitious. Its that guys dont want to compete with your job. I mean alot of people(guys and girls) go into medicine or other professional avenues and wind up getting defined by their jobs. I dont know why anyone would want to date someone like that.

So if you retain that part of yourself that makes you an individual. You will do fine. There are plenty of single late 20s and 30s out there if you are in a city.
