Currently a 3rd year ortho resident in a civilian program with an HPSP commitment. Just curious as to where I can find information on the amount of added commitment to my payback 1) if I do a fellowship 2) if it matters if its sponsored by the army or not 3) what are the chances of being able to do one right after my residency versus during/after my commitment. I ask this last part as I already am an older guy - and I don't think I would want to do a fellowship in my mid-40's after payback nor would many programs want to train me at that age. I appreciate any input or direction to information.
