Step II CK break timing: does unused block time get added?

Is it like Step 1, i.e. if I have 10 minutes left unused at the end of a question block, does that get added to my total break time?

From what I've heard from recent test takers, timing was really tight on step2 compared to step1, despite having only 46 questions per block. Anyone else have similar experiences?

yes...timing was tighter due to the extra block of questions, especially if you took 5 or so minutes of break time after each block. BUT, all in all, timing was not a problem.

I never ran out of time on a block on Step 2, which I did on Step 1. I did take a few minutes after every block, and still had 20 minutes left of break time at the end of the day.

Perhaps it was just due to having experience with the shelf exams, but I felt I had much more time on Step 2 than Step 1. I finished all blocks with 2-12 minutes to spare. The great thing is you don't have to take a full lunch, so you can wind up knocking that 9 hour day down to 7 and a half or so.
