I'm confused. I interviewed on the first interview day of the year at AZCOM. The first committee meeting isn't even until this thursday. How did everyone find out about their acceptances already?

I agree! I was on the second interview day!!! I think that most of us are wondering what the deal is, and every time someone asks how they know so early, the people accepted are not giving us any insight!!! It's driving me CRAZY, that is my absolute number one choice!!!

The interview experience was great! Very laid back, kind of wierd with the group (your interviewing along with other applicants getting turns answering questions).

I really liked some aspects of Touro like it being on Mare Island (beautiful), the friendliness, the amazing anatomy lab, and the open door teachers, and they seem to be doing a lot of improvements. However, their were some major turnoffs for me. First, the $2000 due in two weeks from acceptance. This will be the biggest reason I will most likely not be attending Touro MI. I have other schools I'm still waiting to hear from that If I get in, I would rather go to. I do not have the cash to put down $2000 right now and almost surely lose. I did it for Touro-NV simply because you can get all but 10% back. Second, living would be very expensive. With the expensive tuition on top of that, I would be looking at huge amounts of debt. Finally, their clinical rotations are kind of up in the air. Where would I end up doing them? I'm not too excited about moving around a lot my last two years. I think that I would be happy there, but with my acceptance at two other schools already (and hopefully more coming), I am not going to waste 2,000 holding my spot.

Thanks for the advice... wow, that is kind of strange having group interviews... so I guess the interview questions are more like personal questions about your file rather than "what's the biggest problem in health care?" And they didn't ask you questions like "why should we choose you out of all the people in the room?" or anything like that did they?? that would be horrible...

About half and half. I got questions like: If I could eat dinner with three non-famous people, but could only feed two, who would I have dinner with and who would I feed? So there are a few non personal questions, but as long as you be yourself and reason them out (let them know how you think), you will do fine. The definitely do not pitch the applicants against each other, although that would be fun.
