Bill, I'm glad you are so enthusiastically embracing second year. Having one class lower than you on the totem pole is about ALL there is to celebrate! I'm ready to leave second year as a distant memory. But best of luck to you rising sophomores! At least you're one step closer. Congrats.

Yeah, I'm trying to approach it with a positive attitude. With any luck, we'll make it a couple weeks before the misery sets in. 😉

Another Final Down today. WE just finished dental materials here at PENN. Now I have 2 practicals this week one in the dental simulation clinic (DentSim) a #7 ML (the computer grades you, and the teacher buys what the computer says!!!) and wednesday we have a composite Practical #8 MFLI (you can rearrange it any way you like 😛 ). Then on Friday we have a Periodontics Final, and on thursday we have to see our first patient (which we have to find), and do a perio evaluation, scaling, and prophylaxis.

It has quite been a huge hurdle. The fun never stops.

The thread was about e-learning, and I was curious about how other schools are implementing a web based interface w/ their curriculum. I was impressed to hear that Temple has developed online resources as a teaching tool, especially videos of restorative demonstrations. However, it is people like you who make it not even worthwhile to post anymore that whenever someone decides to post something useful, they just come in and try to tamper with it.

You could have easily emailed me or PMed me. However, I figured it was in your intention to cause a ruckus. Therefore, I thought it would be better not to even perpetuate the thread anymore.

Next year when you start Temple, see how much time you will have to post on here.

I'm in agreement with this. I'm obviously not lobbying for a moderatorship for myself, but I've always believed strongly that moderators should be regulars on their boards. How Dr. Scherf retains his status absolutely boggles my mind. Dr. Burnett, paging Dr. Burnett... 😉

As soon as I get back from my Army training. 😉

I'm at the Norfolk naval base for a month studying at the school of music, and I'm typing this from the enlisted club. I'll be getting back to Indiana 9 July, which should be the end of your first week of class. We'll have to go out for a brew that weekend. Also, I'm going to see if I can sign up to be your pro for the IUSD pro/novice program between first- and second-years. Good luck with the start of school!
