fried raisins and fried almonds 👍 plus, of course, the extremely spiced basmati, chicken, fried potatoes (some Assyrian put peas-yuck), sometimes onions...depends

I just know my bff (Indian) had it once and liked it....said it was different but still good

I never really liked raisins with rice...😳 But I cannot knock it until I try it. Peas are awesome! Have you never had veggie biryani? Plus Indians love putting peas in rice.... It is called Mattar Chawal...

I like the raisins...it's a good complement to the spiciness. And yeah peas....see my mom doesn't make it that way, but then again I think I say yuck because the last time I had it that way was when I was a kid and hated veggies :laugh: So I probably would like it now....
