Lol. I'm pretty sure they meant all of the applicants, not just the interviewees, but yeah, that's unfortunate phasing right there! :laugh:

Haha.. I got my rejection letter from Dartmouth today and my mom described it as "overly dramatic" :laugh::laugh:

And MAN, it's quite a party in 2013.. I've been on the road and missed a lot apparently!

Who needs congrats? I know LET does, anyone else? 😀

And BD2D.... :luck::luck::luck::luck: This weekend!

This is going to be a lot of fun. Do you guys think it is enough to read over Obama's healthcare plan, universal healthcare pros and cons, my secondary, amcas, and know evrything I can about Drew?

Yes, that's plenty 😉

In my mock interview, my interviewer told me in any interview to know two categories backwards and forwards: 1. Myself, and 2. The "Job."
In this case, the "Job" is being a medical student at this particular school and being a doctor. This means knowing what the school is looking for in a student, their mission, ideals, curriculum and goals, and knowing what life is like as realistically as possible as a medical student/ doctor (this includes basic knowledge of health care and policy, etc.). In terms of yourself, reading over your AMCAS/ Secondary and thinking through questions like "What are my goals?" and "What are my strengths and weaknesses?" or "What would make me a good doctor?" is plenty enough.

At this point, be well-rested and relax and be yourself. You're obviously a wonderful, kind, humble person who has a great personality and will be a great doctor someday. Be confident in yourself and let that shine without rehearsing your answers until you're blue in the face.

omg!!! I love Sinai!! It was like one of the best places ever!! i decided to cancel my BU interview and asked if i could reschedule to late Jan, Feb because I wanna know my sinai decision first. 🙂
 
So I am getting ready for my WVU interview tomorrow...

anyone have any last minute advice specific to WVU? I actually don't know a lot about their program and their website isn't very helpful.

I don't really know anything about WVU BUT I did meet a doctor from there at a conference a few weeks back. His name is Dr. Byron Calhoun and he's an OB/GYN with a MFM specialty. I doubt he's on the adcom but it'd be really coincidental if he was. good luck!!:luck:
 
Today's kind of a "blah" day here. Not a whole lot of much goin' on. The weather is very non-committal too. Not exactly sunny, rainy, warm, or cold. Just "blah."

i canceled my BU dec 3rd interview (hopefully one of you guys gets it!).. there were no dates to choose from, so i sent a message via that message center

They didn't give much notice, though, but it's ok because I'm only waiting on 3 schools or so and I have cancelled a TON.

dont remember if i mentioned it, but i rescheduled BU.. they gave me the LAST day of interview, 2/11/08 lol

Don't worry, GoSpurs, I'm still a huge Houston/Baylor fan. 😀

I scheduled my interview with Cornell for 12/18 which was a couple of weeks after they invited me, but I'm hoping that Columbia will *consider* interviewing me on 12/19 so that I can make this a double-purpose visit to NYC (also I will be out of classes by the 10th or so).

Yay, only 4 schools I haven't heard from.
