I do not envy the tough decision lying before Pianola. Who is to say what the right decision is. I honestly believe that either way you're going to have an amazing experience. I think you really need to decide for yourself... you're going to be the one getting her education and spending the next four years at. I'm not saying you should totally discount others' input, but you do have to decide for yourself.
 
On that note, I have to bounce. Time to get to bed, though I am nervous as the temperature seems to have risen in here. Good night all; see you in the morning.

I guess if I overnight the check/reply form, maybe by Saturday. Hopefully I will get my finaid form by Wednesday or so.

So I found out that I am not used to studying anymore😱 I studied about a good 6 hours excluding breaks, and now I am just mentally and physically exhausted... and really hungry...

I should get to bed so I do not fall asleep in the library for 2 hours like I did this morning😳

I'm back in the US. 🙁 And dragging my jetlagged self to work today (not going to stay a full day, hopefully; just going to get myself re-oriented and meet with my PI and restart my cell cultures).

I still daydream of being fired/told to just go ahead and leave the job early. Funny thing though is that I don't actually hate my job. I just don't want to do it anymore. 😳

Today, as I was helping my Nana with her breakfast, a transport employee walks in and says he's there to take my "sister" down for a X-ray. I say "Oh no, she's my grandmother." He blatantly stares at me, and says "Oh ......she looks really young." My Nana is 83. I'm 23. FML ...... and LMFAO

I'm used to people thinking my little sister is my daughter... it's annoying but it's understandable. However, when people think I am my 17 year old brother's mom (who looks like he's 25) I am not a happy camper :laugh:


Last year, within a few weeks, I was mistaken for his mom TWICE and someone thought I was my mother... a week later I dyed my hair lighter to aid this aging situation :laugh:



I am now back to dark brown 🙁

:laugh: I had this problem when I nannied and was out with the little one. People assumed I was his mom and they would ask detailed questions that I didn't know the answer to, making me, look like a neglectant parent :laugh:
 
My mother and I don't look alike (I look black, she looks white) so we're happy if people even realize we're related! :laugh: The best I've got is that when I'm with her and my bf, she looks like his mother, not mine. 😀

Also, ridiculously anti-climatic "home coming" to work today. My PI and one of my co-workers (I only have two) are out. Where are they? Are they at a conference? Need to hunt down the other co-worker and find out what's going on.
