I gotta pay $40/month in pet rent to keep my fox terrier with me...I'm hoping it'll be really worth the expense to have her around
Ouch. That sucks. She should be worth it though. It is nice to have a pet around.
I'm starting to second-think keeping my bird though... Which makes me feel terrible because this would be the third time in the past five years that I've given up a pet (first the rabbits I co-owned with my roommate, then my cat because I thought I was allergic to him; I miss the little bastard now... and I'm sure he would've calmed down when he got older. Still haven't figured out exactly what I was allergic too, but it stopped once I stopped letting him sit with me).
But birds need so much attention! The next two years will be fine, but after that? She's going to live for like, 25years or so. Can I really say that I'll be able to give her enough of my time?
So my options are give her up now, wait it out and see what happens, or try to buy another bird of her species to keep her company. Except if she hates the other bird, then I'm stuck with two birds that don't like each other and still need attention. Also, they're not cheap birds. I got her for $75 off craigslist, but that doesn't happen too often. I should see how much they cost in St Louis... Around here they're like $300 to $400.
yeah. I cried a lot at the end of my last day.
If I cry, it'll be tears of joy.
I don't actually hate the job but... I'm ready to be gone!
