3yrs. We met ice skating my frosh yr in the DC sculpture garden. I hadn't learned to stop yet and skated straight into him. We started dating soon thereafter. Two weeks ago, when he came to visit in DC he took me ice skating in the same place.. Afterwards he proposed to me in the sculpture garden it was adorable!

ooh yea we have talked about it. It just makes no sense for us right now since we wouldn't really be able to live together for awhile (he's trying to go to law school) & we don't have stable jobs yet so we can't afford an apt in the city together. If we make it through med school I will be happy with that I just like to whine

I'm just glad it's possible (and even healthier) to have babies later. Twenty years ago, thirty was OLD to have a baby. Now, it's definitely doable.

I know the feeling! I think I told you that Ms. Spurs and I have been going out for coming up on 4 years on 2/6. But since she's a year behind me, even though she's pre-med, she won't be coming to med school with me either 🙁 And we all know what a crap-shoot this process is... no guarantees we wind up in the same city...
So yeah. It's weird seeing some of my friends who're younger and haven't been dating as long as us getting married. But at the same time, I feel like it'd be irresponsible of me to propose before we see how the whole long-distance thing goes as bf/gf... when I propose, I really want to make it the ONLY time I ever propose. So it's kinda awkward, cuz I can kinda tell she'd like for me to propose... but I just don't feel ready yet.

that sounds very logical and sound. if you are willing to fight for it and you really want it, it can work out, but a ring is not necessary for that, especially if you don't feel ready..
my bf and I have been together for over 4 yrs (in dec) and while that is quite a while, neither one of us is ready to get married even though nwe are living together. I think the (silent) consensus for now is that we see how the first few years of grad school go and then decide? although I don't think I would propose; I want it to be romantic, and a surprise, and all of that ... sigh, im sucha girl

Yeah, it could almost be the plot of a movie... we've been best friends for the past 4 years and now our relationship is so different but in a better way. It's really exciting for both of us. I'm getting butterflies just thinking about it. 😍

jeez man... im in pjs and probably will be in them for the rest of the day.. I think that I am done with my winter break partying. Went out for drinks last night with friends and was definitely spending some bathroom time during the night. thankfully it was just a precaution. my stomach decided to not give me a big f*ck you and didn't make me vomit
