Yay! I am so excited! It's going to be a five hour callback but they said to be prepared to stay later... It's going to be great though because there will probably be a lot of tapping. 😀 And I have two friends (that I know of so far) who will be there too.
 
I'm dressed and ready to go to the gym... if only I could get out of my bed and off this computer grrrr

i was going to go to lab today but then i spoke to my friend who works thre full time and asked her if there are any available computers. SHe tells me that there will be soon because our head PI is leaving forever, the person I worked with has gotten fired and there is no money left to pay people.😱

Thanks guys! The callback is on 2/15 so I'll let you all know how that goes. I have another audition on 2/7 as well. I'm trying to keep myself pre-occupied with show stuff so I don't have to think about bigger and more important things (like what might be gracing my mailbox on March 2nd or 3rd).

If only it would be busy here in the clinic. I've been waiting here for the past 2.5 hours and haven't gotten a single participant for my study yet! I mean, I'm practically giving away $40 (you just have to have a 6-12 year old and take a computerized survey that's ~45 minutes long)...
 
Ima goto this stupid class that I signed up for this week so I can graduate (used to have fridays free, grrr), then Ima go home, down some no-xplode, get pumped, and try to clean and press 5 reps of 90lbs. I suck at clean and press but I'm determined to do it today. Been stuck at 85lbs for a months now grrrr
 
back from the gym 😀 very low key day today. Only 45 min on the elliptical. My back is still not 100%

I have a couple of friends applying, but no one I'm really close to. One girl I went to high school with (we went to different universities) got accepted with me 🙂 My ex-bf is applying this cycle, but DO only.

Not this cycle. A lot of my friends were traditional pre-meds so they're already in med school. Everyone else is in a different industry.

yea I have about 5 or 6 friends applying this cycle, but I only regularly speak with 1 or 2 and all 3 of us have very similar stats that I know of. I feel like it can be awkward when they ask me how my apps are doing and stuff. I'm tempted to lie lol

one is killing it. She has a sub-30 MCAT but she got a full scholarship to Vandy! Let alone all the other amazing schools she got into - including Cornell. I'm not surprised. She's awesome. I just hope she comes to NY with me.

The other has only been accepted to Downstate 😀 so you guys might be classmates!

I think it depends on the girl. Definitely avoid the teddy bear, IMO. I just have to assume that anyone giving me a stuffed animal at the age of 24 thinks I have the IQ of a 5 year old. What would get myself for V-day? (Not that I'm going to): Probably some nice tea. Jewelry because I know what I like and I'd like a new pair of earrings. I would adore an iPhone, but let's face it, that's not going to happen any time soon.

See, I didn't mean to make a big deal about the whole Valentine's Day deal. Except that my birthday is less than two weeks before Valentine's Day (it's coming up on Monday, actually) and Mr. Nola is making me dinner on Saturday. 😍😍😍 I can fall for a guy who will make me dinner. Yessir. For some reason, I think a guy cooking for a girl is just about the sweetest thing ever. I can't really explain why, except there it is. So at any rate, I want to reciprocate and I want to be as good as he is at gift-giving. For Christmas, he made me dinner and got me the first season of Whose Line is it Anyway, because he knows 100% what I want and he's a genius at gift-giving.

So there's a little pressure on me to get this right 😳😉.

You didn't make a big deal of it! And you are in LoOoOoOoOoVe, you are supposed to make a big deal out of your 1st Valentines Day together! I also share your love for a man that can cook for me. I like cooking together too. That's always fun.

I agree about simple gifts. Actually, I think I might cook something for him, too. Kind of a shame I can't invite him over to my place and cook dinner for him. I'm just not sure anyone's ready for him to meet my (somewhat wacky) parents.
