Class of 2013!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Did you get this from that thread about academic integrity?

Yah, silverlining posted it last night, and today it was in the Daily Bruin (UCLA's newspaper) also... maybe she goes on SDN also?

Time for cookies and icecream with the roomies... If you guys are ever near UCLA, check out Diddy Riese.😀

I don't think you can drive an Eclipse with an automatic transmission. Its a sin. That said, I really need to learn stick, because I'll feel as if my man card is lost in the future when I have to buy a sports car with an auto tranny.
🙁 she's an automatic... sigh I can't drive stick. It has tiptronic but it's a wack stick imitation... and she only has 4 cylinders. Suzy is living a lie!

anyone wanna teach me how to drive a stick shift (no dirty joke intended 😉)

I've been meaning to take lessons to learn to drive stick, but haven't quite gotten around to it.

My car has that shift-tronic thing too but, I agree, it's kinda BS

Here's what my car looks like:

Oh and pianola... just study tonight... you can always write an LOI tomorrow...

Yeah, Thursday. I have two exams in a row (Wednesday night for three hours and then Thursday morning for two hours). Bad planning on the teachers' part, obviously 😉

Yes my car is named Suzy. She's fly

Mitsubishi-Eclipse-Spyder.jpg

She IS fly.

ugh midterm was pretty tough today! got another tomorrow at 8am. studying hard. anyone else in the same boat? also, my friend is in the dumps today and i remember someone once showing me this cool website where it says 'yourname' is great. or something encouraging. does anyone know what i am talking about. i think it's kinda cheesy but it'll cheer him up coz he'll find it kinda funny

I am in your boat.

I hope someone is rowing because I feel like I'm not getting very close to shore...

blues that car is fly... except i hate two doors now. they get old real fast.

Yeah, I used to drive an Infiniti G35 coupe and it got to be a real pain in the ass, especially when it would rain.

i wish i could afford an aston martin. sigh. my current vehicle is my two feet haha, not even a bike.

I call my car "Baby". I don't know why. It sounds either childish, girly, or macho...but I dunno, I just liked calling it "baby".

my car story is so funny. It reminds me of something you'd see in a movie. I begged and pleaded for an Eclipse but my parents said it was too expensive. So I asked for a used one and they said convertibles were unsafe BUT they made a deal at the Mitsubishi dealer & i was going to get a stripped down Lancer & my dad would "hook it up" & put a CD player in it & a radio... I kinda thought they might be tricking me but in front of the dealer was a Lancer with a big bow & I was so sad... so then they took me into the dealership to sign stuff and gave me the keys and when they lifted the garage there was SUZY in all her glory with a big red bow! I cried so hard I was so shocked. Best surprise ever!

Haha, that's a good story 🙂🙂

I keep thinking of that Seinfeld episode: "Lookit: It's NOT SUZE. It's SUZ-Y. I'm SUZY!"

Don't know why.

OK, and now I really will study.

I name your car Herman

Haha, not quite what I was thinking, but thanks Lyss 😛

why i don't get it? 😕

Well, for two door cars, getting people into the back seats is a major hassle (even worse when it rains). Trying to transport stuff, digging the car out of snow, etc. ultimately made me decide to get a nice sedan instead.

It's like those Lexus commercials where they get the cars with the big red bows for Christmas. That sounds nice 🙂

Yeah, sipping coffee a little at a time is usually ok with me. Also tea is good. I may make some tea in a bit.
White, green, herbal, or black??? I love tea. I find drinking it is relaxing. That and some green and whites can be very tasty.

Aston Martins=my screen saver 90% of the time. I that the Vanquish is impossible to get in these parts of the world. The price tag is not the reason I didn't buy it; I just did feel like importing and negotiating a deal to get it into the states.

So true.
Its ok Drlyss you're still fly.

At least something good came out of that thread.

😎, wear your aviators and some gloves. If you roll with me, you'll be doing stunts like James Bond in no time👍.

It was worth a shot

we call the backseat of my car "the womb" because it is so hard to get into & out of. You have to squeeze.

nice story lyss. o okay, thanks for the explanation aznboy for the slow people here, i.e. me hehe

is that martini shaken or stirred ... just checking, very important

Tell me about. Btw its even worse when you're trying to get 3 drunk people to hurry into your care while it is raining.

wow I was reading the link funky posted, #14737 is hilarious

Lol, how can you tell just based off a jpeg? 😛

you drink stuff other than sangria?

As long as it's red sangria, I wouldn't mind drinking that all the time.

🤣

Exactly. And the Infiniti coupe had one of those auto tracks on which the seat slides forward, so it takes like 15 seconds to move up instead of just yanking it forward like on a normal car.

okay .. just making sure you got your facts right.

anyways, is it more or has there been an increase of ridiculous threads recently?

Yeah, there was that one yesterday about eating chicken for breakfast, lunch, and dinner? WTF?

That is most definitely the case. I have two theories on the matter:
1. We are now getting a new batch of (naive) premed hopefuls.
2. The people who have been rejected cannot help themselves.

you can see it aznboy, you need to look harder 😀

chubs, is that really you? i thought you were mia hehe

that's what I drink. Occasionally if I feel risque I go up to a margarita. But mostly, just sangria.
uh huh. And me liking sangria would have nothing to do with my Hispanic heritage?

it can't be chubs because all of glory's old posts have switched to the new username. Nice try Glory 😛

stop talking about sangria, it's tempting me to deviate from studying for my midterm tomorrow
