I'm going on a medical mission trip to Nicaragua. I'll be gone March 6-12. I'm so excited about it!

Speaking of which, I need to get my appointment to make sure I'm up to date on my vaccines (I think I need a tetanus booster)...

Georgetown (who rejected me back in October) sent me a letter yesterday asking if I wanted to apply to their SMP program this year

This sounds vaguely familiar...

This is me being incredibly jealous: :meanie:

SDN is making me incredibly unproductive... and thus I shall leave right now... and get to school where hopefully I can get my work done...

What did I just tell you about closing this window!?

There better not be a response to this!

Yeah, I can't even calculate how many hours of productivity have been wasted here at work 😛

Maybe. I wonder. I don't know that I'd necessarily go to Columbia or Cornell automatically over other options...

Although I do appreciate drizzt's point about how the grading scale is something that will matter to me in medical school. Where both Columbia and Cornell are unbeatable over all my other choices in that respect.

Cornell is P/F/H... it's pretty much the same as grades and although the culture is DEFINITELY less competitive than Columbia, you'll be with all type A people and it will be intense (my brother went there)

BTW this isn't to say that it's not an awesome school, it was my top choice of all the programs I interviewed at and I liked it a lot more than Columbia which actually wanted me... lol The culture of the two schools are really different. To be honest, I went with my system pretty much when I was picking schools, and went with the schools with the best facilities, culture that seemed like the best fit, and I think my only complaint was not taking geography into account a bit more. UCLA is seeming really attractive right now 🙁

I explored Open Office yesterday to rewrite my resume. Had success. Got some edits from an MBA friend of mine.

Yeah FSU starts in May. An ADCOM explained this to me, though. Once you start school (say at FSU in May), you can't get off any other school's waitlist. So if a school starts early, it's more or less their way of guaranteeing themselves students who might otherwise leave them for other schools that will accept them off the waitlist. After the first full day of orientation, you can't change (apparently).

How is P-F-H the same as H-HP-P-MP-F or ABCDF (which are my options at the moment)? 😕😕

My good friend at Columbia didn't seem to think it was terribly competitive. I need to ask my friend at Cornell what she thinks of the atmosphere.

Jobs have been shown to decrease debt.

Coffee is never overrated!

BTW Myuu, you guys spend your first week at a retreat writing a code of conduct with the CCLCM people right?

what's the p value on that? I question the statistical siginificance 🙂
p=1 at 0.0000000005 confidence level.:laugh:

I think someone might've mentioned that, but I don't really remember.
