Ok, here's what happened.

Last night I posted in this thread that the forums were slow. Yoda and pianola actually agreed with me. Some of the mods also posted they were having problems. This morning I made up an excuse that the thread had to be closed because it was drawing so much traffic to it and that the site could not handle it... deletion of the thread was a threat. I then went ahead, after getting done with class, and deleted the thread. There was a RIP C/O 2013 thread made. I then undeleted the 2013 thread and opened it, merging the RIP thread.
