Class of 2013!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
With Street Fighter II as a close second, I'll give that to you.

And I typed Pens wrong both times. Ha. Oh well. :smack:

I don't remember Street Fighter II being on the Genesis.. I think you might be referring to one of its many sequels, like "Super Champion Edition" or some crap like that, right?

Yeah, I'm not leaning either way in Vancouver/Hawks but both would make for an interesting matchup...wonder if Anaheim could manage to miraculously knock out Detroit...

It's possible, but I think the Wings will prevail in the end. Dirty play/douchebaggery on the part of the Ducks can only get you so far.. it's the Wings' defensive depth, beyond Lidstrom and Stuart, that is lacking (we need Rafalski back ASAP). But this might just go all the way to Game 7...

I think Myuu has a couple FB photos that resemble Chun-Li...

Really? I'll have to take a look when I go home.

Regular Chun-li...no Myuu as Chun-li...YES!

chun li was dope...my favorite character with whom I always cheated on turbo :meanie::meanie::meanie:

All I hade to do was flip the turbo on, get someone in the corner and just press the button that made her do the wind kick :laugh:

Or I would get e-honda and do the hand slap!!!

With the 6 button controller...that was where its at! It was the Champion edition.

I'm heading home tonight and I am for sure bringing back Street Fighter II; though I think I have it on SNES; it's going to rock! I should bring my original NES as well.

You really don't have to. It's ok. Really, it is.

Haha, if you say so. I might forget by the time the day's over and I'm home from my run..

Oh yeah, I remember that... we only had 1 6-button controller and my brother and I would fight over it whenever we played Mortal Kombat 3. I don't think we ever had Street Fighter 2 which is why I don't remember it..

And that is a sincere compliment!

Like I said before, Swarley's got some moves! :meanie:

Same here...it was the much better way to do all the special moves. Sub-Zero was my favorittteeee

Headache 🙁🙁🙁

I've been getting those a lot too lately...you think I'd be relieved and happy about getting into medical school but until I start and see what I'm in for its just stressful. 🙁

FTW!

I managed not to rip any of them this week! I will not allow them to be torn to pieces!
Schools are WAY to anal about gels. They're cheap as hell and they shouldn't make people so nervous about them.

Speaking of which, 50 seconds until that silver needs to come out of developer...

Sorry. Research or industry?

Research.👍

I've been having a run of bad luck with gels lately. I think I'm just diluting waaaaay too many times, way too much room for error... why do the silvers have to be so damn sensitive?!

Still not sure what the hell happened to the coomassie. But it ran all kinds of funny, so I blame the month-expired gel... have I run LPS coomassies on 4-20% glycine before? Hmmm....

Wow. This makes me almost fond of my job! I get to be so lax with timing and protocols.

I usually only use 500ng/well for gels (of rna, which is probably different).
Not to mention my runs are more or less to determine the quality of the rna (if it's degraded).

It still sucks to not have something work like you want. I had a 6-month long marathon with mitochondrial isolation that was getting constant failed results in atpase assay. I couldn't for the life of me figure out why until 5 months later, after stopping, I found out people were cleaning the tubes with detergent which fkin degrades/uncouples mitochondria😡

Nitric acid TO THE RESCUE

Government vaccine dev is not as forgiving...

Yeah... That makes sense. And I'm kind of glad it's pretty strict. 🙂

Me too! Only 2.5 hours.

My own laziness is why I'm still in lab. I need to motivate myself to just finish up my damn notes so I can leave soon as my silver stains are done and scanned.

These are being run to screen LPS preps for the presence of core and proper O-sidechain ladders. 500ng is great for seeing the core, but renders the ladders nearly invisible in photographs, so I've been using 1ug. Unfortunately, these are being prepared from dry samples brought up to 2mg/mL, then subdiluted to 400ug/mL, which is then used to subdilute again to 0.5ug/15uL and 1.0ug/uL.

My problem is that, despite my best efforts, there's always one lot of LPS that's not quite the right concentration and really visibly so.:cry::cry::cry:

Delegate?:meanie: You have no idea how much fun/hilarious it is to have the ability to delegate. I have delegated some of my meetings to contractors and even (as a joke) delegated meetings to my supervisors (thank you lotus notes)

No one to delegate to. I'm the last tech standing!

I have "I Don't Wanna Cry" from Gundam X stuck in my head. Which is sad because a) I've never seen Gundam X and b) I don't think I've had a copy of that song since 2002.

This is the third in a series of epic post-pads, brought to you in part by the united states army.

Ok, so maybe it's not all that epic.

I just don't want to write conclusions.😏

I was supposed to help ksmi with something earlier in the week, but I kept getting home super-late, so I am a loser. Sorry!

I'm not really understanding why twitter is suddenly so popular. I've been using it for years. Where have the rest of you been??
