I just got ****ed sideways by one of my bosses. Turns out that even though 90% of the staff wanted me to get the promotion but this ****head isn't impressed by my resume and went and ****ed me sideways AFTER interviewing me and and went ahead and interviewed more people. Despite the fact that the people I would work with wanted me 100% he doesn't want my ****ing talent because he wants someone with a PhD because he wants someone to work alongside him even though that's not the job description he ****ing put up. PhD =/= intelligent or qualified.😡 Toxicologist isn't good enough for a job that 90% of people know I'm good at. Even the senior fellow scientist who is above this guy said I was qualifed but forewarned me "Don't be upset if you don't get this job because this boss has made bad decisions before so this might happen again because of what he's after"👎

Sounds like your boss is deserving of an Epic Fail as well.

So annoyed/tired of office politics...in a ****ing Pharmaceutical Company.

I applied 2 years ago and didn't get in (waitlisted) so I tried research. Landed a great job (or so I thought at time) but this office politics is starting to bother me so much. Especially with this boss. His last decision was hiring this girl who ****ed up a clonal cell line by forgetting to put the cell line in liquid nitrogen and leaving it in a -20 fridge👎. Not to mention she had the worst work ethic. Her last year was spent failing to grow a clonal cell line and doing it again. 12 months to grow a transfected cell line?👎

Was she hot? Maybe he liked looking at her enough to deal with her stupidity. Things like that always bothered me about lab work though, so I've been much happier in the clinical realm of things. Sorry to hear about that though 🙁 I've been there.

I still volunteer and teach. I told myself to keep this up just in case and I'm seriously starting to consider it. Lack of actual interaction with patients from when I worked at walgreen's is enticing me even more to want to reapply. I miss the yelling and complaining:laugh:.
