We could do something fun for Halloween, maybe. Like put pumpkin faces on our avatars or something like LossForWords did. Heh, if I get accepted to UCF on Halloween, I'm totally getting my Halloween spirit on 🙂

waiting is even worse when you're not even waiting for acceptances and you're still waiting for interview offers... =( good luck to those also in my situation and congrats to those sitting on acceptances!!

You guys don't know how much seeing all of this means to me. I even showed my wife this morning. Thank you all sooooo much for the support. I really do hope and pray my time does come. It is hard being around here sometimes because everybody seems to be having success. But I know that I have to have faith and believe. I also know that it will come on the Lord's time and not mine. I told myself that I was going to stay away from SDN for a while because of how hard it is but, I couldn't stay away because you guys are all an awesome bunch of people. Plus I really do enjoy seeing your success and seeing how happy you guys get. I really am happy for everybody who has been accepted. I may still disappear for a little while, but we will see. I just don't want to miss all of the great news. It would be and will be a pleasure to be a part of 2013 with you all. It is going to happen for me, i know it in my heart of hearts! Keep bringing in those acceptances. Love you all and God bless!

And, you're definitely humbling and inspiring, so thanks for that! I'm only at 1 II and still a little concerned, but I do have one and should probably be a bit more grateful for it--its at one of my top choices, but I'm just scared of rejection ya know? Anyway, despite having an II I think I'm probably 100x more jealous (a disgusting emotion) than you are of all of these people killing the app cycle. I don't even consider myself a jealous person by normal standards, but how you handle everyone elses success with warm congratulations while you're still waiting patiently makes me feel like a bad person. :laugh: I mean, I'm happy for everyone, but I'll look at this thread and think to myself "Gosh, I really hate this thread right now." 😳

Anyway, keep it up! At the least, I know you're inspiring me to be a better person and everyone really appreciates your words.

I am not counting myself out of this cycle, but I am thinking of what my next step will be. I have already done a postbacc, so I was wondering what master's programs do you all think I should look into, just in case? I know that if I don't get in that I will have to retake my mcat, but I just want some of your opinions. Thank you

I'm a student member (free - go sign up!) at CMDA. They have weekly email devotionals, it came from one of those. the devos are great and there's a lot of neat stuff on the site.

Christian Medical & Dental Association. (i think its cmda.org)

As far as master's programs, I'd just find something you are interested in and feel like you can succeed AND enjoy.
But certainly don't get too stressed too early. People are accepted well into the spring AND summer, and your chance is coming!
