Class of 2013!!!

Oh and Ms. Nola, you were asking how my Art as Social and Political Class was... in one word it is AWESOME! The professor is a super liberal left wing guy who hates discrimination, and he is very opinionated... the artwork is very controversial, and that is what makes it interesting... It was the first time that I have stayed up in a two hour long class that was after 11 am! I love this class!

Haha, yay! I'm so glad you like the class 😀 Intriguing title.

Yeah, I know what you mean about liking teachers with strong, interesting opinions (even if you don't share them)...the only thing is, I feel like that kind of atmosphere can wear down on you eventually if you're exposed to it for a long period of time. Especially if it's a discussion class and most people in the class disagree with strongly held beliefs 😳 <-- this from personal experience.

But I'm glad you like it! Probably you are more patient than I am with people who might disagree with you 😛.
 
yes, those classes can really grate on my nerves if there are a number of non-agreeing and very vocal students..
I like to hear varied opinions, but I'd rather not hear a semester's worth of arguments between a professor and one other student while the rest of us sit there.

Oh, actually I agree with most of the stuff he says😛...and even if I don't I can sympathize...I may be socially conservative, but that is only about my own beliefs, and I NEVER try to impose them upon anyone, just like I get angry if anyone tries to impose their beliefs upon me. And also I am very bull-headed, where I do not listen to people unless I feel that it is necessary... my dad's friends told him, when I was 5, that I have a mind of my own, and I will only do the things that I want to do... And they were right... And plus, I also like playing the devil's advocate in class.

Plus the professor hates smoking!!!!!! I mean how many professors actually make us analyze Virginia Slims ads to show the antifeminism and evils of smoking... and he compared the people who get paid to make pro-tobacco propangada to prostitutes...:laugh:

So I have a question that you should either feel free to answer or not: For those of you who are in a relationship (which it seems like most of you are) how often do you talk with your s.o.?

I've never had a relationship before where I haven't talked with my boyfriend every single day. (Until now. I guess I'm getting used to it, maybe.)
 
I bet I could beat Stephon Curry in 1 on 1, just sayin'.

Before my wife and I got married, there were times where we didn't talk all day or if we did it was for 5min just to say hello, how are you doing, how was your day. We didn't make it a habit but it did happen. I would text her just to let her know that I am thinking about her if I couldn't talk to her.
 
I am out too... I need to search for my art history articles, I have 10 pages of Turkish homework, I need to review 10 weeks of Turkish, I need to think of topics for my research seminar, and I need to start thinking of topics for my research paper.


Which means I will be back in 5 minutes:laugh:

The guy is incredible. Considering the fact that basically any team that plays Davidson has the strategy of "stop Curry means we stop Davidson" and he STILL scores 20+ points a game... is pretty much just flat out ridiculous.
 
And no, Davidson will not win this game. They never had a chance. As much as one person can make a team, and as much as I would like to see Duke lose, Curry cannot carry an otherwise very bad Davidson team to a victory against Duke AT Duke. No way.

lol you don't want to know. We talk at least 3x a day on the fone (esp when we were long distance)... yea we talk a lot.

speaking of, I'm going on a hot date tonight woo hoo
 
Brian Zoubek from Duke is one of the worst 7+ footers, ive ever seen..holy man.
