Class of 2013!!!

I can't bring myself to buy them right now though.. I have several (probably like 10) pair of scrubs already.. and until I'm in clinicals I don't need more.

Although I know several of those pair will be thrown away after Gross. :laugh:

I'm waiting on Upstate to render a decision because during the interview, I liked it more than Downstate.

Why the rush though? I thought people were going to wait until May 15th to decide for sure.
 
So I am auditioning for a show that's kind of a big deal that will be running from June 18th until August 9th... but there's a possibility the run will be extended until August 23rd. :scared: I really want to do the show but I'm not sure if I would be able to. Of course I won't have a problem if I'm not cast in the show (I probably won't be 🙄) but it IS a tap show and that IS my specialty. 😀

I guess I could always defer and take another year off (which is actually something I've thought about doing anyway to continue my research - I don't think the study I'm working on is going to be ready for publication by the summer).

I feel so in limbo. 😕

i didnt know you were a tapper! Altho i guess the avatar makes sense. Thats pretty awesome, ive always enjoyed wathcing people that are really really good at tap (which im assuming you are if you are trying out for shows and stuff). My ssister was a dancer so grew up going to recitals. As much as i hated the all day events, i will confess to enjoying the tap routines of the older more advanced people.

p.s. thats a sucky situation! sorry i really have no advice 🙁

Yup, been tapping since I was in first grade. It's such a great stress reliever. I was pretty much just venting - I know that I'm just going to have to wait and see how things turn out. I have another offer for a performing gig over the summer (that will still allow me to start school this fall) so it won't be the end of the world if I'm not cast.

On a similar note, I just found out that the theatre at which I'm doing "Annie" with in the spring (go ahead and laugh... I'm getting paid!) is by attendance the second largest professional children's theatre in the nation! :hardy: *Goes to edit update letter that's going out in a couple weeks*

there comes a point in life where people become mature enough to accept the fact that people have all kinds of hobbies/interests/jobs/careers.....no one is going to laugh at you for being in a play, or tapping, or dancing, no matter how "unconventional" it may seem for a guy to do! You are doin your thang! At this age, any one who is hatin on you for gettin paid to do what you love is just jealous man! 👍 Congrats.

I think it really just depends on if you want to start in the fall or if you want to wait til next year. I guess we won't kill you if you defer to C/O 2014... :laugh:

(I've deferred all I want... but that's just me! )

Well looking at Columbia's class schedule from last year, orientation started on 8/25 (it looks like this year it will start on 8/24) so all I need to do is get admitted to Columbia and then I won't have an issue! 😉

I'd much rather be c/o 2013 than 2014.

thats awesome Chad! I always wanted to be a dancer...

if you really feel strongly about deferring you could look into it - or- you could ask the production about your situation after you win over their hearts 😉
 
That is awesome chad! You should keep on dancing... and I think it would be better if you were part of 2013 instead of 2014...

Just look out for whenever it is close to the 99, and then sneak in, especially if no one has replied in a while, post pad, and then you can get top.... That is what I just did...kind of...
