I sent e-mails & called to find out the withdrawal procedure. Some schools require a fax or a letter for documentation.

Here's what I wrote (emailed) for my MWC withdrawal:

Dear Medical College of Wisconsin,

Thank you very much for inviting me to interview at your institution. However, I have decided to decline your invitation and withdraw my application from further consideration at your school. If you would like a signed copy of my withdrawal, please let me know where I can send/fax it. Thank you again for the opportunity.

Of course if you're withdrawing pre-interview invite then just adjust for that. Most schools will find this sufficient but some will want a physical copy of the withdrawal for their records.

I can see where calls are awkward on our end.. but I'm sure its not that weird for the admissions office. It happens everyday.

It's probably actually a relief for them... one more person they get to give a chance to 👍

And ar2388, at least you're already accepted to medical school and you don't have to deal with the lab report drama before the application. That's a good thing.

I think a lot of schools send form rejection letters to people who withdraw. Personally, I think that just seems petty.

I missed you guys last night! Traffic driving to LA was a b*tch for no apparent reason. I was goin through LA at 830 at night, i have no idea where there were so many people on the road. It doesnt help that the people that designed the freeeway system were complete idiots. Why would you make a 5-6 lane freeway merge into TWO LANES in one of the most overpopulated cities in the US. Its no wonder there is traffic 23 hours out of the day.

When i finally got back, it was rugby reunion time. I think its pretty self explanatory why i didnt make it on last night. And if I had my posts would hveag lkoooked jhilike thhhhis. haha.

isn't it always? and i totally hear ya on the second bolded statement. they should make those same idiots that built those freeways drive through it (or rather, sit for hours in it) everyday, just so they can share the fruit of their efforts.
 
Driving in NYC is awful as well, not because of the architecture, but because some of the drivers here are INSANE.

I almost got into an accident last night because of this reason. I'm in the left lane and a car is waiting for some pedestrians to cross in order to make a right turn from the right lane ahead. Suddenly the guy next to me veers left to cut around the car ahead and swerve right back into the right lane. I had to slam on my brakes and even then, he came THIS close to smacking right into me.

I was about to :boom:afterward, but I somehow let it go.

... but seriously have you ever seen Boston drivers? They are the WORST by far!
 
Went to Wally World to pick up the stuff I need to make healthy/weight watcher friendly cupcakes for one of my employees that is having a birthday tomorrow.

Cake mix + diet soda = amazing and amazingly low cal. Then there's the droolworthy 1 pt icing.... mmmm

I figured since he's on WW and will be having tons of REAL cake over the next few days, a weightloss friendly version will be appreciated.

Yea when I was in iowa they were talking about horrible the traffic is all the time....i was driving on the freeway in mid day and we were moving at a steady pace of 55 miles an hour.... :laugh: Are you kiddin me people? We would be dead stopped in LA right now.

haha, nice. Thats literally what it looks like in LA, but for NO reason. I always think to myself "There better be a 4 car pile up burning in flames (with no one injured of course)." But theres never a reason.

I would just be continuously changing lanes for no apparent reason, though I'm sure the police would think I was under the influence or something 😛

but then you realize that the lane you just left is moving "faster" than the one you just went to, so you go back...and then then you do the same thing again and again, and then someone like me who has been watching you do this and is thinking "😕😕 STAY IN ONE LANE" rams their car into the side of you just so that youll stop driving like a lune. :laugh:
 
On the subject of traffic (oh, btw, hi guys😀), is anyone in the DC area being forced to go to work on Inauguration Day? Who's ready for some traffic??

Good call!! I'm commuting from Virginia to Maryland and they've closed all but two bridges across the Potomac. I am sooooo screwed. Maybe it'll be better once I get to the beltway... haha.:boom:
