hey everyone wasup!!! congrats snuffles!!! welcome to class of 2013 🙂
i got rejected by upstate officially today, but it's okay coz everyday that goes past IS ANOTHER DAY WE ARE CLOSER TO STARTING MEDICAL SCHOOL. AHHHHHHHHHHH 🙂🙂🙂

Don't worry blues. Upstate rejected me last week post-interview, so they suck something fierce 🙂

Last interview today: MCV! Woohoo... too bad I still have to study for my midterm tomorrow...

I'm thinking I'm going to send this to all of the schools I've yet to hear from, in a last ditch effort for an interview invite. Unfortunately once March hits I'm going to be unavailable for interviewing.

My update letter last year was one page, but I sent one at the end of every trimester (so they got... two I think, after my initial app)

And I haven't finished FAFSA, but I will be done w it Saturday.

I guess that as long as it's written well, a longer letter is okay. I'm just wondering if they're actually going to read it, considering they have a huge adcom meeting where they review all 1,000+ interviewees at Columbia.

You should be glad. I was on Jury Duty two years ago and I had to spend 4 days there, not a pleasant experience. On the other hand, I'm exempt for 6 years! 😀

Sounds good in theory, but I think I'd probably be chosen for a federal murder case or something high profile that lasted for a month or longer while I was holed up in a hotel unable to contact the outside world... no tv, no internet, no newspapers.... 😱

I just basically apologized for having contacted him too late (I didn't know what time frame he was considering) and then told him very firmly that I was under the impression he was going to contact me when he found out when he was going to be doing what he needed to do.

More than likely, you would get called to some inane and boring case instead. I think the one I was being considered for was a guy suing the city because he tripped and fell on the sidewalk and hurt his neck.

Good luck, pianola. I'm sure that it'll work out fine... I hate the feeling of being behind on something/left out of something because of contact issues, especially when it really wasn't your fault. However, when you're the runt, it's always your fault 🙁 Maybe he'll get the idea about giving you sharp dates.

Our mayor literally ran over (in the city car, nonetheless) an old man that was up at city hall paying his bill last year.

He was 85. Almost died.

Needless to say, even less people like the mayor now than did before.

It's extremely unlikely that I'd get the part, but it's still fun to audition for random stuff like this.
