I think im just gonna take a nap, so bored this semester so I'm on SDN all the time. I can't wait for the semester to be over with but I got 12 weeks left 🙁
 
I got an email from VCU and I started getting confused because I thought that they were gonna give decisions in march. Turns out, it was just the survey... oh well...

I just figured out what all the fuss was about after looking closely. I was in class before so just kind of skimming the posts. You all are a bunch of computer nerds! And I hope Berk is flattered by the non stop speculation about her identity. 😛

Congrats on the good news Chubs, although a meniscus tear doesn't sound like a lot of fun either :lame:

Chuck, I'm glad they found your luggage. That could've been a disaster.

And for the record...runny egg yolks or runny egg whites? runny egg whites is nasty but I like my eggs Over Easy thank you very much.

runny egg whites are runny, but runny eggs are delicious

Over medium is good... over easy is a bit too runny for my taste... I like it when the yolk starts to coagulate a little...



So, I need a new topic for my bioethics seminar to do a presentation on...
Stemcells/ genetic testing/ abortion
animal research
antibiotic resistance
end of life/ pallative care
genetically modified foods
medicinal marijuana etc

have all been done... I cannot find any more good topics😡

i used to loooooooooooooooove eating my eggs runny, but out of nowhere a couple years ago i wasn't able to eat them that way anymore without getting nauseous. 🙁

i can't figure out the reason, but i sure miss eating eggs sunny side up. 🙁

Health care reform baby! I eat that crap up.
Also maybe immunizations, or the role of physicians in capital punishment by lethal injection.

Those are good, but I need to be able to have a 45 minute presentation filled with questions which could be discussed for another 45 minutes for a grand total of 1.5 hours...

Sometimes I wonder why I torture myself to get honors...

I kind of live in California, where if illegal, waaay too many people would have to go to jail:laugh:

But it has to be bioethical, not just ethical consideration...

There's not enough on health care reform to talk about for 1.5 hours?
There are many ethical issues that pertain to health care.

The role of physicians in lethal injection is really interesting. They need an MD to be there to call it, but the MD's hide in secrecy because the AMA has threatened to revoke their medical license. Often times, the doctor has to help administer the medication because Prison RN's can't find the vein, or monitor the EKG. It's a complicated issue because society deems these individuals worthy of death...and the role of the physician is to nurture and save life when possible, not contribute to it. There was a nice chapter on it in the book Better by Atul Gawande. Most of the doctors who participate feel like by being there, they are offering some sort of support to make these death row inmates pass as smoothly as possible, which I think is justifiable.
 
It is still raining! Gah, and I wore flip flops today and I was excited because for the past 5 days I have been wearing close toed shoes, unless you want gangrene, you cannot wear flip flops right now in Virginia...

At least I brought my sweatshirt... I was almost about to walk to school in the morning in only a tshirt since the weather was pleasant...

Yeah...what's worse are the sushi rolls with a million tiny orange flying fish eggs on top...(I think of Nemo everytime..)

welcome to the south....probably ten times as much rain as you guys are used to...
and 1.5 hour presentation?!?!?! wtf...mine isonly 20 minutes.
