now you gotta beat berken by the time she joins facebook. Go!

Myuu, how come you changed your name?

Because it's very bad form to refer to oneself with an honorific.

I go by Myuuchan in many online venues (for recognizability only), but this is the only one I've seen that'll let me change nicks. Most people just use 'Myuu' to refer to me anyway.👍

This is the picture I used for the last slide of my presentation (the obligatory "Any questions?" slide)

Yeah, I really did.

Interesting... and I guess it is bad form...

What does Myuu mean though? Or is it just a name...

Yeah, I really did.

😍If you do not mind, I am gonna steal this for my presentation in 3 weeks.

AGghh, I ****ing hate Bank of America. Another worthless monthly fee for no reason. I'm closing this account by next week.

If you are in school, I thought it they do not charge the monthly fee...

The obligatory countdown of the day:
It is 175 days, 22 hours, 33 minutes and 53 seconds until Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at 1:00:00 PM (Jackson time)

or

175 days
4222 hours
253353 minutes
15201217 seconds

Ah, I'm getting so excited!!

Oww, it just got really bright outside... the sun is hurting my eyes, but it is a welcome change from this week of rain...

Just a name!😀 And yeah, it's a big grammatical/social no-no (unless you're big into addressing yourself in third person [in Japanese]).

Speaking of banking, I'm in the process of looking for a new bank when I go to med school (my current bank is pretty localized). I want a good national bank with free student checking... I really like Citi but it doesn't seem like they have free student checking (although it is free if you have a minimum balance or direct deposit).

Any suggestions?

Oh, in other news, I finally finished fighting with my *unnamed* bank. Apparently your payment is "late" if you pay after five (even though it's online... and online doesn't close...), but a late payment doesn't affect your credit unless you are 37 days late.

So my 2-hour presumed "lateness" isn't doing anything but annoyingly charging me extra. I'll pay the darn thing by five from now on.

Bank of America is not bad... I don't know what happened with Yoda though...

EDIT: The Park TOP Room in The Devonshire Arms Country House Hotel and Spa somewhere in England...

I use Citibank now and haven't had any major complaints. If you have the minimum balance, I would use them.

Why would it matter if you were in school or not? Monthly fees are monthly fees for any account, no?

Student accounts do not have the monthly fee... at least my account doesn't...

Any suggestions?

Sorry, I'm about to start looking for a new bank myself.

My original bank was bought and then the buyer was bought. Those two banks never charged me anything because I had some sort of special account package. Current bank seems to have honored the terms of the old banks until this year where they think they can charge me😡.

It's cool with me if they want to change account terms, but I'd appreciate being informed of charges before they show up.

Okay, I seriously need to buckle down and finish my paper... It is due at 2😱

I've heard bad things about Bank of America... from my friend who worked there for 2 years and various other people. 🙁
Me too.

I had an account with HSBC and they seemed pretty reliable to me.
