all this thunder is toooooooo loud.
yuck!
all this thunder is toooooooo loud.
I just spilled hot chocolate all over my cell phone (that I bought 3 months ago)... dammit!
It's weird... I have almost normal function except the speaker volume is down WAY low, and the volume control doesn't seem to have any effect on it. Also three of the hardware buttons aren't working (Call, End, and the Camera button). 🙁
I'll have to let it air out this evening. If it's not working right tomorrow I'm going to have to take it in to Sprint and see if they can fix it. I don't have the insurance, though, so it's going to cost me... 😡
It'll be okay (I hope). I can always buy a new cell phone (not that I have the extra money for that at the moment).
Try powering it off and putting it in rice (uncooked--absorbs tons of moisture) overnight. People swear to me that this works.👍
(Mostly it's the powering off that's important. So sayeth the girl who boiled her phone and still had a fully functional phone the next day.)

No gym/treadmill?
The thing that is supposed to help the most is a blow drier. It used to be that you could use one and as a result still get a new one with insurance (short circuiting your apparatus with water may void the warranty). However, nowadays there is this little strip inside electronics that I believe are oxidize when water short circuits the electronic. This means you might not qualify for a new phone. Hopefully, all works out well for you though. It's weird... I have almost normal function except the speaker volume is down WAY low, and the volume control doesn't seem to have any effect on it. I love working outdoors. That is the only way I can manage to get a healthy amount of sun light.I like working out inside better than outside. Seems to work better with my asthma
Inside track at med school. So excited.
👍 Though my favorite CCR song is "Up Around The Bend."
👍Guess who's trying to file FAFSA tonight...

I got the function of my Call, End, and Camera buttons back. I'm hoping that the rest will dry out overnight (I disassembled the phone and put it under my desk lamp). Here's the current state of my phone:

That's really clever... I wonder if that would work better than drying it with the lamp...
Yeah, the strip was oxidized when I took the phone apart. Besides, disassembling the phone voided the warranty anyway. If all else fails, I'll take it in to Sprint tomorrow and see if they can fix it for me (I'd have to pay, but it'll be cheaper than buying a new phone).
Sir Edmund Hillary on the top of Mt. Everest
Now I that got on the top of things. I going to work.
finally... we're nearing the end...
I have multiple jobs. However, I'm going to work at a local gym tonight. What kind of work do you do?
