Class of 2013!!!

I was just wondering... what else do you guys do when you are on SDN? Do you go on other websites, or do you just read the threads on SDN, or are you playing video games while on it?
 
I usually double tab with email and facebook, etc.

However when I'm sdn mobile-ing its just u guys. its sorta like texting.

(which ocassionally I switch back to)
 
My current computer is a 17in dell inspiron 9100 and its soo heavy!! i am also going down to a 15in.
however, i like vista.. mr. ar actually recently got a new computer (last semester) and he is also quite fond of vista, at least there have been no vista related problems *knock on wood* lol

i usually check my email, sometimes do work, or go to other websites like fb, but sad to say, SDN is in my top 5 websites i visit i think lol

If hadn't learned self-restraint I wouldn't have made it this far and wouldn't be able to make it through medical school. The only thing I still need to get under control is the sweet tooth I mentioned earlier. Though I usually keep myself from buying sweets, I slip up when I visit my parents or buy sweets.

Well, when I'm not at work, I'm usually watching tv, browsing cnn/slashdot/deviant art/livejournal, reading, or exercising.👍
 
bedtime for me. i need to get up and teach little girls ballet and somehow get them interested in doing barre work.. its really a shame how hard it is for kids to understand and enjoy the discipline that ballet gives.. i love taking classes and doing the barre. there is something so soothing and relaxing about it.
anyways, good night guys! haha im still so happy i finally got top!

Same here. My mac is where my personal stuff happens. It's too heavy to take to class, so I never have, but it has a great screen for movies and such. It has a huge hard-drive for all my music, tv shows, and movies. I can never get any work done on it, however, because of all this.

The point of getting a second laptop is that it would hopefully promote productivity. I got one with a small solid state drive so it'll be fast but it won't allow me to store much besides notes and school-related stuff. This way I'll get to compartmentalize a bit better and not screw around too much on the school computer...I also plan to study in the library mostly, so I'll leave my fun computer at home while I take my teeny school one to the library. Of course that won't keep me away from SDN...but maybe this addiction will end...

Today I am watching lectures. I find that I cannot learn anything in class because I can't focus when my professors speak slowly or the pace of class is slow. On the other hand, when I watch the lecture at 2x I can concentrate on the material and take some of it in.

I have a 14" and I think I may get something that is even smaller.

I think the moral of this story is that any computer can break regardless of the operating system it uses. So Mac fiends: fall back. 😎

Powerpoint in Vista is SOOO awesome 😀 I don't know what you mean by this "Vista-capable." If you want Vista, buy a computer that already has Vista on it! All the people who haven't made the upgrade and can't open my attachments are kind of a drag.

Ehehe, I think that was just a really horrible year for dell laptops. It seems like they're much better now.:laugh:

Mac service warranties are voided at the drop of a hat, though.

Both have their strengths and weakness.👍

That's more of a change in MS Office versions issue than an operating system issue.

Right before Vista came out, Microsoft allowed companies to sell machines that were incapable of running all of Vista's supposed features to advertise themselves under the label "Vista-capable" or to provide Vista upgrade vouchers. Upon upgrade, these sub-par machines were, of course, crippled. This led to a whole bunch of lawsuits and angry consumers.🙁

Sure, Vista can do lots of things. It just squanders your system's resources while it's doing them.👎

Not trying to pull an all-nighter, went out to dinner, wandered around a downtown area and then met some people at Caribou.

I drink so much coffee that it's effect on me has become negligible.
