Riceman, what it do pimpin'! I appreciate that very much my man. When I was in undergrad, stepshows were always between us and the Alpha's. But my chapter ripped california for a good year or 2. I have stepped in about 10 shows and I came in 2nd one time, everything else was first place. The Q's are good at marching cuz that is what they do. I appreciate all the orgs and I love watching everybody do their thang!
 
So I was thinking, when we start school, are we going to have a class of 2013 thread in allo to keep up with each other and check in and make sure we are still alive? What do you guys/gals think......

Very True, we do have some powerful friends, LET, the asst mod, Berk, the mod, and Vihsadas, the Senior Mod.

Oh and the post doc just left so I am gonna let the WB blot over night and go home in a few minutes😀

Really? I was trying to figure out when they would close this thread. By next August we may well have close to 1000 pages in this thread. It would be nice to have a spanking new thread in a few months. Think of the possibilities: not only would we outshine 2014er but we could compete against ourselves.

Invitrogen has a new dry-blotter called "iBlot" that does transfers in 7 minutes. We ordered one, but haven't gotten it yet to test it. Just FYI.:laugh:

I have not done westerns in 1.5 years so the postdoc was reteaching me how to do them... he still uses the oldschool 1.5 hour transfer... he does not even use the semidry transfer...

And with this I am off... I am tired... I have been in lab since 9AM, so discounting the two hours of class...7.5 hrs... time to call it a day...

Yeah I need it after I got hardly any at my church's high school retreat that I was helping at this weekend! And it was freakin cold!!! (perhaps the freakin cold has something to do w/ my health...)

Geez. I run 4-20% Tris-glycine gels for 1.5 hours then blot for 45min at 35V.🙁

Don't worry, I'm more afraid of what Ms. Spurs would do 😛 I just wanna at least be in these prestigious rankings to enhance my reputation 😀 I'd never break up that special thing you and Lyss have... I just want to be invited to the parties y'all throw 🙂
 
Is anybody doing any pre-matriculation programs?
 
I am hoping to do this PARP program at Howard. It is a 6 week program that starts in May and goes until June and then orientation starts the 3rd week of July. This of course is all pending my getting accepted.

I don't think they have one for Cornell 🙁 If they did I would be banging down the door! I need to try to stay afloat with those brainiacs so they don't figure out I'm a runt!

my tour guide at Howard did PARP and he really liked it. If I decided to go to Temple I was going to do their program for minority students.

Man, I've got to find an internet sweetheart before this cycle is over... hmmm, I'll have to file that away in the back of my mind on my to-do list so that I can bring someone to the inevitable SDN c/o 2013 party this summer 😀
