Class of 2013!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
2500 - 3000 words, not pages, lol. I have the outline (meaning I have done nothing productive) of what I want to do. And, its only 5 pages single spaced.

Outline:

Background

Process of Nuclear Somatic Cell Transfer

Analysis Methodology of Influential Proteins

Future Experiments

Conclusion
Oh...haha, yah that is like a 7 volume text book.... I never wrote a paper for a science class, excluding labs, so I am not sure how to write papers for science classes... I do know how to write papers for art history however... My termpaper last quarter was 22 pages and about 7800 words... Wow, your paper is long😱
make it four 😀
Seriously... I like kids and all, but not sick little kids...
call in sick? NZ here i come baby.
You should try to set it up so you do an away rotation in NZ when the world cup takes place!😀👍

Its really not that complicated. You take an oocyte, denucleate it, and then put in a somatic cell's nucleus. From the review paper I found, the oocyte has influential proteins that help redifferentiate the cell.

So why do you have to restate that in 2500-3000 words?

There's a couple places that if I got unwaited listed at I'd have to think about it. It'll be mostly a financial decision at that point though.

It is not too far from home! And you can meet Depakote😀

haha that would be even more tortorous...so close but yet so far. I think il just have to settle on going to the next world cup in 2015. We can schedule vacation time during residency right?

p.s. Blues, have they announced the location of the next one yet? If not they should within the next year or so, right?

I don't even like most of the healthy ones, no paediatrics for me.

blasphemy! Kids are so adorable. How do you not laugh or smile when you see a bunch of kids just being kids. Like the other day there were a bunch of kids who were racing on their three wheelers. Cutest thing ive ever seen. They thought they were going upwards of 200 mph but in reality i could have walked faster than they were riding. If that doesnt make you smile....you have no soul.
. I also saw a group of kids that were no more than 3 or 4 and they were walking with each other in a straight line holding hands. Adorable

I love kids, it's the parents that I don't care for. Pediatrics probably won't be my specialty, but I will take pleasure in the children I see from time to time.

even if they score less than 33 on the MCAT? just kidding.

edit: just kidding. fall 2011 will be fall of 3rd year.

I dunno, kids just tend to annoy me. I usually don't mind them at a distance, but I don't really like holding them or playing with them or anything like that. I guess I have no soul🙁.

I'm not a fan of parents either haha. I'm definitely open to it. We shall see where the road leads...

you mean our fb group?
Yeah... no one goes on it anymore...
I know!😀

I love playing with kids, and for some reason, I can prevent myself from being annoyed by little kids... That is basically what I do at dinner parties, because apparently my parents refuse to make friends with people who have children who are my age...

oh, i never use facebook normally. i feel like too many people stalk on fb. and it's ridiculous how they change the layout everyday ...

I am interested! And possibly a sports med fellowship afterwards. Here is the plan. We both go in to a peds residency (maybe same one), schedule our vacations together and go to world cup in 2015 😍

I know!😀

Fair enough. I just double checked with the boss man (God) and he assured me that you do indeed have a soul, despite your general annoyane with young children. But cmon cant you imgaine that scenario i described? I as viewing them from a distance, so technically you still might think that situation okay. Further proof for you having a soul.

haha, yeah peds is just one of the ten billion things that i want to do. i am not really sure. so what are you looking to do with a sports fellowship/peds res

I have checked it now and then, but hadn't posted in it since the group had been inactive for while.

I put peds in my medical school applications...does that count? 😉

No seriously, I wanted to be a pediatrician at first but now I've just decided I'm going to be in the 'undecided category' for now.

i have no idea, haha. I just know that they both interest me. To my knowledge its not as if i will be practicing "pediatric sports medicine" in the sense that i could have a dual practice splitting time with peds patients and then general sports med patients (of all ages). I could do peds on a regular basis and then sports med from time to time when events come up or something, i dunno. I clearly havent put too much time into it, just an idea that i will hopefully gain more insight into as the years go by. Ive always thought it would be awesoem to be team physician...be the doc for the usa rugby team orsomething, haha. Time will tell.

yup..what would be awesome and i really think its a high possibility is if Arizona over Louisville.

I really regreat picking Clemson over oklahoma..that one may end up causing me to not win my pool, unless syracuse beats oklahoma.

yay for all the peds folks!

My basket is done. We've got: lots of kleenex and chocolate, a book (through a season of grief - devotionals for the first 365 dayd following the death of a loved one) twilight dvd, reba ssn 5 (her fave tv show), a teddy bear, johnsons stress away lotion and bath, sugar free red bull and fiji water, and bones for her dogs.

I think it'll be well received. 🙂

My dream job would be team physician for the New York Mets 😍

My realistic goal is neurologist

oOoOo that was very good. Ya know I was so disappointed with last season but so far this season has delivered.

we might hafta fight over him, lyss.

Him & "pete" from private practice, whose real name slips from my memory at this time...
