I haven't posted since studying for the MCAT in the fall, but wow this post made me so angry! Baseball is the BEST sport. Name a sport for me where there are no "fat" players (mainstream sport, meaning don't tell me individual track and field events).

Also soccer

Ballroom dance 😉 That was my "sport" that got me out of the PE requirement at my school.

I have nothing for or against baseball. Except that my ex liked baseball. That's definitely not in its favor.

Baseball is a big sport in my college town, but it wasn't in my hometown (football & soccer were the biggies) and so I never "got it". Some of my friends love it, but I get bored.

However, some of the baseball MEN.... *drool*

Soccer is the only really good example. Basketball... Shaq? Hockey... I don't watch enough but I'm sure there are some fat goalies (I know Osgood was getting there).

Sure there are some fat baseball players, but please tell me what is not athletic about being able to wrench your arm into position to have the leverage to hurl a ball at > 90mph (and still have command to boot)? What is not athletic about being able to generate the force to smash that ball over a 400'+ fence in center field? What is a more suspenseful moment in sports than watching Todd Jones load the bases in the 9th when he's supposed to be "saving" the game? Baseball is great.
 
gahhhhhhhh...just now eating dinner....it's late...so that means I need to stay up later to make sure it digests completely before I turn in for the night.
