I am assuming you are in the US now...how much is your ticket to NZ? I ask b/c I want to go to NZ soooooooooo badly. LAX to AUK is a long flight though

I have always wanted to head down there. I was just hoping I would not have to find a way to incorporate it into some type of away/international rotation
 
I have a group project due today that I didn't participate in at all. I wonder if my group finished it.

Hmm.

(I did 100% of the first part of the assignment, I figured this was all on them.)

riceman, you should do it. the dollar is down your down is worth 2 nzd now (compared to 0.71 us = 1 nzd earlier this year) and if you go soon we could meet up! do you kayak, paraglide, snowboard, hike, surf, anything else you want to do? haha can i tempt you?
 
i can't believe i'm 5 months away from med school. that seems so far away! i found out i will be attending the white coat ceremoney without my fam though 🙁 my parents won't make it. hopefully my sis and some friends will come though! can friends even come?

awesome.....will definitely look into it. I used to surf growing up...never snowboarded, but have wanted to learn, love hiking, been cavern kayaking in Mexico!!!!

I'm definitely going to look into this

It's not that far away, I promise...

White coat - family 👎. I'm still sad mine can't attend bc our ceremony is closed. Weird Mississippi school :laugh:

ya know up until recently I never cried for anything... then a few years ago I started crying at everything from TV commercials to sad novels. Ugh it's annoying

No kidding. I'm a crier. I cry so easily. Every THursday night like clockwork (usually Private Practice, but Grey's has been known to bring tears as well) and Sunday nights for Extreme Home Makeover.

And several times in between if it's called for.

I bawled like a baby towards the end of the Grey's episode last week. It started with izzie, when she said thank you... then I really started to cry when Derek started to get teary. Oh how I love you McDreamy 😍
 
Old-school ER was the best at doing tearjerker episodes. Grey's Anatomy/Private Practice don't even begin to compare IMO.

I used to be the biggest crybaby when I was little... thank God that phase is over.
Oh and Greys/PP... they are good shows😉 but not that good that they make you teary!

My parents (non-medical people) somehow found out about white coat and now they remind me constantly of how they're going to go to it.:lame:

i have been wait listed at wayne state univ. & st. louis school of medicine.

you guys know when is the "magic date" when all applicants have to finalize their school?

up to when can i expect to wait to get off the wait list and accepted?

any advice on what to do... to get off the wait list?

anything would be great. thx !

1. May 15th, unless they have a super-early starting date, in which case they can pick whatever day they want.
2. Write them love letters!!!:luck::xf:

You can technically get off the waitlist anytime between now and before the school's start date (like Augustish). The best way to get off your waitlists is by sending updates/LOIs. Keep in touch with the schools.
