Oh and I fell asleep in biostats, so I am awake and refreshed, and I have a craving to do stem and leaf plots as well as box plots... the theory is beyond boring, but the actual math stuff, despite what I say about hating math, actually seems interesting...

Oh and azn, I cannot sleep after research, because I am trying to fix my sleep cycle, and if I sleep that late, then i will not be able to fall asleep at 10....

So UCF just called and said I was at the top of the middle 1/3 of waitlist and he expects I havea good shot at getting in😱. Now this complicates things alot.

What should I do?

He said today the very top of the middle 1/3 or bottom of the upper 1/3 with 12 OOSers ahead of me.

I half want to just go ahead and buy all the DVDs just because that'd be easy. Except wait. I have netflix. What am I thinking! Need to ask the bf if I can appropriate two spots for BSG (he's already seen it). Maybe I'll pay to upgrade us to 4 DVDs at a time instead of 3.

Well, May 15th will be my first decision (still waiting to hear back from Tufts and Georgetown; so I may or may not have a decision to make), and then I'm on five wait lists so... 😕 But right now to make things easier on myself, I'm assuming I'm going to SUNY.

So my biostats class is right after the UCLA MS1 classes in the same room, and our book was in the health sciences bookstore... talk about adding insult to injury🙁

my PI is on the adcom of the med school, which I did not get into, lol. He's probably going to tease me at lab meeting about my epic fail
 
vadd0 i just met a girl named Sheikh on saturday (never heard of this name before), and now I see that name on your avatar (didn't know that was how it's spelt, it sounded like Sheka).
 
Funky asked me my reasoning. So here it is and why I decided to not attend.

1) I already committed to PCOM and paid my deposits. $2000 is not much in the grand scheme of things...but overall I am committed.
2) My education will be great at both, plus I do have an interest as of now in OMM.
3) The whole application issue of "review" left a bad taste in my mouth about the school. I won't talk about this further.
4) I really like the student body we have coming for the C/O 2013.
5) I have no regrets about my decision and did not want to put myself down the path that would possibly lead me to regrets (an acceptance from Jefferson).

So, I'm a little 😕 right now, but know its all for the best.

Sit back and relax for another 6 months since that's what I've been doing with the exact same message? (oh and he says that I'm in the upper quartile with very few OOSers ahead of me and this has been the case since October). Basically, pull up a chair and join the rest of us who are wondering what is going on.

I'm not gonna get up any false hopes any more. I was through with that by February.

I still haven't heard from UCF this month. 🙁🙁🙁🙁

I was in the same situation with the new Texas school out in El Paso, which was offering full tuition scholarships to the top half of the incoming class. I'll admit that a very tiny part of my decision to decline going there had to do with Baylor being a "better" school, not really loving the interview day there, and generally not wanting to be a guinea pig for their new curriculum. However, what really wound up being the deal breaker for me was that I absolutely had no desire to live in west Texas for the next four years. I'd rather go into debt and pay my way out of it in the end than just take the money and be miserable for the next four years of my life.

So to me, location is more important than cost; do you have a preference between North Carolina and Florida?

*yawn* slept right through my alarm to get up from my nap, so a 1 hour nap turned into a 3 hour nap. I feel a LOT better, but now it's time to get stuff done 🙂

Mr. Nola and I finally had a talk about the drinking situation and he said that he would have a few sips of wine with me every few months (that was our compromise). Haha.

*shrug* I would've gone to the interview at least to see what I thought of the place in person. It woulda sucked to just flush the $2k deposit down the drain, but I'd at least have left the possibility open that I might like Jefferson enough to make that call justifiable.

But I'm not you, so if you're 100% happy where you're at, then props to you for knowing what you want 👍

Yeah, luckily I think Ms. Spurs is actually excited to start drinking 🙂 Her 21st is coming up in just over a month, so that'll be a great night 😀
