the idiot box had my attention all night (even though i have things to do)

for some reason I was mesmerized by RW/RR The Gauntlet III...I guess b/c of all the hotness on the show. Does that make me shallow? 😛

Wow I always forget how SMALL my post count is in relation to all you guys lol. I remember when I was ahead of Lyss...that feels like a LONG time ago. I should make an effort to postpad more. 😛
 
The meeting took 4 freaking hours! But it was fun... 29 artists... about 150-200 works...

I will be "curating" the band because the prez knows I have lots of other stuff to do to...

Morning guys! I just checked my email and saw that I was accepted to NYMC. I'm not going to take the acceptance but it's nice to feel wanted 🙂
 
I finally get to post on this page. I just got accepted to NYMC!!! I'm going to be a doctor!!

I. Have. Too. Much. Stuff. 😡 I really should have gotten rid of most of this when I moved out of dorms and into my apartment but I was complacent since I only moved a few blocks. Now I'm like wtf self? Why do you own all this?! And to top it off, the clutter allowed mice to move in. Mice! In my apartment! (I'm OCD about being clean but apparently the mice don't care how clean I am. Bastards).

So I'm tossing half my stuff, except I can't just... throw out this stuff, can I? A lot of it's in good condition. I'm going to stop by the Salvation Army and ask what they'll take.

And I'm going to be so late to work today... I haven't eaten or packed lunch yet.

I've killed five so far. 🙁 Haven't seen one in a few weeks now but I was cleaning out my walk in closet and discovered droppings under my old suitcases. Gross. So gross. Ugh. Good thing I was going to toss those things anyway.

GOODMORNING EVERYONE!!!! here at work getting ready to go up to Philadelphia Prison System and enroll more participants in to our research study.


CONGRATS SARAH (you too AZN)!!!!! At some point during the day someone might "SDN C/O 2013 haze" you (most likely chubby or DrLyss...they are the mean ones...:meanie::laugh:)

Hazing...oh boy. Can't wait for that one 🙂 I'm just glad I now have a more effective use of my time at work and plan to up my post count like the rest of you champs.

PS - I recruit people from Baltimore City prisons for our study! Fun times!

I had the same problem at my house. And I felt conflicted about the most humane and effective way of solving the problem, so I found a battery-operated electric mouse trap that zaps them so they go quickly. Now I don't have any more mice. 👍

I completely understand your issue with the mice. I broke my lease (legally) on my apt for the same reason. I don't leave crap around that would attract mice and yet I still had them. The last straw was when I woke up with scratches on my arm 😱😱

Oh and on my facebook page I have proof of the mice problems (I caught all of Jerry's cousins) in an album. I am keeping them just in case I hear something from the apt complex out of the blue

From now on I'm willing to pay a little more just to ensure I don't have to deal with that crap anymore

Bacchus: You would think living in University City (37th and Chestnut...right next door to the International House) would guarantee at least ok living conditions...not so much!!! That's why I am now paying an arm and a leg to live at the Radian now.

Yeah, the one that came in our apartment at college fell out of the ceiling tile (it had a small hole..) onto my BED! 😱 Then a squirrel moved in.... 😱 . Then I moved out :laugh:

You're getting close to 5k riceman!

😱 Wow. Unfortunately in my case, they'd probably insist that it's my bird's food that's attracting them so even if I wanted to legally break my lease, they wouldn't let me.

Yeah, I'd definitely want those if this was going to be really long term (or if I'd realized in February how big this problem would become). For now, the snap traps seem to be working well.

Never use glue traps. That was.... traumatic.

I just saw your album and :barf:

One of the reasons we moved from Chicago was because of the mice EVERYWHERE... my mom could not handle it at all...

Glue traps... I remember we used to use glue traps, and once we got 3 on the same one... it was gross... and kind of sad, but gross, never the less...
 
Prison work...sounds interesting... what are y'all studying exactly?

For a little while when I was younger I toyed with criminal psychology. Then I decided I really wasn't cut out for it (body-build wise OR emotionally)

yeah...that particular mouse got greedy!!!!! You see that peanut next to his mouth!!! That sucker actually got a peanut and then some electroshock therapy :laugh::laugh::laugh:
