Oh yeah, that makes sense. Actually, that's why we were in that night, because we wanted it to be cheaper.

That's a major downside about Texas- if you're gonna get trashed at the bar, there's not subway to take you home 🙁 So we pretty much have to choose between bar/club and have someone DD vs. dorm/apartment

or if you to a sports school, its drinking before the big game...

basically its drinking before you go out to either save money or because there is no alcohol there... not like I would know or anything 😀

I know plenty of girls that black out on a regular basis. I have only blacked out 1 time while I was a freshman... and that was the last time I drank tequila, specifically 151 😀


I can't go near the stuff without flashbacks 🙁 I can't even drink Margaritas anymore

Neither.. I used to play soccer lots, and now I just play pickup basketball once in a while. I think I'd be a pretty decent tennis player but never got into it. Golf, well... anything my dad can play, I don't consider to be a sport.. :meanie: I do enjoy inflicting pain on a bucket of balls at the range every now and then, though. It's almost therapeutic.

I think the worst/most embarrassing part for me was waking up the next day and finding all these random bruises on my body. I asked my friends where they came from, and they said, "Oh, those are probably from when you fell down that flight of stairs." 😳

I think so. Basically pay the money back before anything significant starts compounding. I actually made a post about this in the finaid forum and that's what I was told.

Nope, I was just using paper towels. My friend later told me I made it worse because I just spread it around more :laugh:

I like Irish Flags too 🙂 Personally, I hardly touch beer; the liquor's a lot more fun, and while it's more expensive, it takes less drinks to get tipsy.

Tequila is usually fine (I love margaritas) but not 151. Though RoadRunner is right, that's rum.

That B-52 looks tasty. Kahlua, Bailey's, and Grand Marnier? I've never had a flaming drink before, not sure if I'm missing out 😛

a crazy night on the town for Dr Lyss looks like this:

-start out with some b*tchy drinks (Smirnoff Ice, Hard Lemonade)
-bust out the shot glasses & do shots of vodka -or- mix some cranberry & vodka, Capt Morgan & Coke (i know its rum but its sweet)
-move to the bar and order some lemon shots or some sex on the beach (who can turn down sex on the beach 😀) or my fave drink: Malibu Baybreeze
-go home, throw up & do it again the next day

I'm a very big light weight tho 🙁

I rarely drink for pleasure. WHen I drink, its usually to get drunk....so beer is a rare occurence for me.

I won't go near 151 with a 10 foot poll... the only rum I will kinda drink is the sweet flavored bacardi (green apple, strawberry, etc) & very few times I'll drink Capt Morgan if it's sweet enough.


Is Patron rum? because I'll drink that too but not very often.

I try to steer clear of double digits, lol. That's usually when the night takes a turn for the worse 😀

Haha, Patron is tequila... fairly expensive but high quality tequila, depending on which you buy! So I think you probably are going to want to avoid riceman this summer 😉
 
I swear I'm not an innocent but you guys have me beat. I've never blacked out, and after my MCAT I went to Boston to go to Vericon because Orson Scott Card would be there and I'd never been to a con of any sort before...

I infuse my own liqueurs though! Need to buy some lemons so I can make some limoncello next. 😀 Yay Everclear and its amazing ability to steal the flavor from things.

by the second smirnoff ice I'm tipsy. By the second shot I'm usually cut off... but if I space it correctly I have done one or two of all of these throughout the night... with dire consequences 😆 But most nights I mix and match. It really doesn't take much for me & i don't drink beer




My stomach is beyond sensitive so I have puked more times than I would like to admit 🙁 I think I'm allergic to alcohol.

I've never been cut off by a bar. My friends will cut me off or I will stop myself. Drinking in NYC is kinda expensive I usually just have to think of my wallet & I'll stop haha. This past weekend Cornell gave us an open bar at the club... this was not very good for my self control haha :laugh:

I didn't know that pregaming was a regional thing. I always thought most people knew what it meant because people drink and bbq before football games (pre-game)
