Thank you, funky...that's helpful.

Blech. I wonder if it's even worthwhile to do it.

Ouch, pianola... 🙁

Heh, well the odds of my going to Columbia, Cornell, or Pitt over Baylor were slim to begin with (at least without a $30K per year scholarship).

As someone else noted, I don't think they give scholarships to people on the waitlist.

You'll be really happy you did if one of those bad boys gives you the nod.👍

Heh, wonder if I missed any deadlines...

But yeah, I guess I'll probably get it done. I lose nothing except $28 by doing it.

What would I do without SDN/funkydrmonkey, etc.? 😀😛

I think you'll be happy at Baylor 😍

I think OMBD answered your question:laugh:

Oh, and you're welcome... I forgot that Pitt required it, so I resubmit it to Pitt last night...

Does anyone know whether we need to submit the signed tax returns before or after we get accepted?

I think I will, too. If I end up there. 😛

I'm glad I can't string out this decision longer than May 15th. I want to start living on my own and getting back into the groove of buying my own groceries, planning for the week, etc. (Which I don't don't do as much at home cause my mom cooks dinner every night).

You know, getting that cold "not selected" e-mail from Mayo was a double slap in the face after they made us spend so much money to get the random flights to nowheresville Minnesota -- and then it took forever to get flights out again. I spent WAY more money on that trip than on any other interview.

I like this part, but I understand completely, because I want to start to be more self sufficient... my parents have babied me waaay too much.

Are all your schools on the May 15th deadline? I've heard there are a few that decisions must be made on/by April 15th...

I had *never* heard of the April 15th deadline until yesterday and that was only in connection with FSU (which I didn't apply to)...

eeeks....wow, I'm gonna be a terrible doc, huh?

Didn't Mayo have the April 15th Deadline also, since they have such a small class, and they start early...

Speaking of Which:
And then it's like "please do NOT contact us about this e-mail"

I am actually gonna email them on May 15th and stole my money and then immediately rejected me.

Sorry, I could not resist.... But at least you are done with your classes at the end of the month, so you still get a 3 month summer...

OK I called them and Baylor said May 15th.

THANK YOU GOD.

OK, I need to leave for class before I have a heart attack from learning too much new information.

Yay, dodged that bullet, pianola 🙂

That's what happens when all of your acceptances are in October.

I vaguely remember that I visited some medical schools and...something something something...the rest is a blur.

I've heard that orientation is fun and overwhelming. Days are pretty relaxed in a get to know you/ get stuff done format, and nights.... well

Yeah. My friends who attend(ed...in some cases) enjoyed orientation.

Haha, Mr. Nola is scared of snakes. 😛

I think they're cute.

I don't mind Baylor starting in July so long as I can still make my decision May 15th.

Ok, see, now I don't feel bad for you. Case starts in early July.😛

I'm jealous of everyone starting in July 🙁
