My boss got my quit date right after Christmas

I talked to my boss about leaving in... March, I think. I wanted to quit mid-May. She wasn't happy. 😳 I originally had wanted to quit at the end of May but in order to travel with my boyfriend I need to go mid-May. So we "compromised" and I'm leaving in May and then coming back after to finish up the 13 months of work I signed my contract for (but moving my end date from July 3rd to sometime closer to the end of July). I can't complain. I took two weeks off for Christmas and I've been on ten interviews (but I don't take public holidays off. I think the only times I did were July 4th and Thanksgiving, and I showed up in the morning on July 4th to passage my cells).


I have no idea what to do about health insurance though. 😕 I probably won't be covered between July 3rd and medical school. I need to look into that.

After my Oct 16th acceptance and I knew where/when I was going... I told him May 29th was it.

Can you quit before July 3rd but still have enough vacation days so that you officially quit on say, July 5th, and have a month of health insurance? And if you need it for August, get COBRA. Maybe that would work?

The odd thing is that her MRI actually shows brain matter. I was surprised.

I'm tempted to write a proposal to do head MRI studies on blondes, with everyone else as controls. See how blondes do in comparison to the rest of the population. It could be important!

Well obviously you couldn't print out the whole image but you could theoretically print out salient cross sections... of course she probably had no idea what she was talking about lol
