Thanks for the advice Rice; I will employ much of this. I think my biggest problem is that I've let myself fall into a rut, while I go through the motions, I'm not pushing myself enough.

yeah that is so important...sometimes I just go through the motions...and then all I can picture in my head is muscle fibers laughing and calling me a pansy for not pushing myself.

I totally understand where you are coming from.

Also, when was the last time you just allowed your self to rest for a few days?

I usually do a three day split except for when I feel like a certain muscle group is falling behind in growth.

Chest and Tri, Back and shoulders, Legs and Bi...I've started doing 3 days on of lifting and then two straight days off...I almost feel like this is a must b/c I do deadlifts on my shoulder/back day and then heavy squats and lunges on leg day (along with the rest of my routine). So by that third day I am DONE and my muscles are sore.

last thing 09med: I think you mentioned you superset for chest...for e.g press and fly...I would incorporate more supersets into your workout as well.

I love love love supersetting lateral, front, and bent over later raises (reverse fly's)

OMG. someone needs to mail me some of these.

I actually totally would but I don't live near a Trader Joe's so I bought them while I was in DC, and my boyfriend would be sad if I gave them away. He loves them.

In other news, I had an excellent morning with Mr. Nola. 😍😍😍

Wink wink nudge nudge? 😉 😀

I think I know where Berken is going in the fall!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh Berk...congrats congrats congrats 👍

Big in seniority or just big?

LONG BEACH - Police are investigating an alleged murder/suicide attempt that left at least one person dead and two others seriously wounded at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center Thursday.

Calls of the incident began flooding over police and fire radios at 11:47 a.m.

Preliminary reports listed two dead and a weapon found on scene in the lobby of one of the hospital's pharmacies.

As officers fanned out through the hospital the toll went up to three subjects down, including the gunman who had killed himself.

The remaining two victims were in the Emergency Room being worked on, police at the scene said.

Preliminary reports also found the gunman may have been a disgruntled current or former employee.

It was not clear who the victims were, although someone called 911 while the alleged shooter had the gun in the pharmacy, police said.

The hospital remained on lockdown as of 12:30 p.m.

Post-padding? No wonder you guys freaked out on the 4/1 thread "delete".

Going to go for miles 38 through 42 and beyond... i dunno. I've run a lot and I want to get in a few more miles before I lift tomorrow (and thus put myself out of commission all weekend).

That's a lot of miles in a week 😱

I like your new avatar, Bacchus.

I'm reading about Amyloidosis & Prion Disease.

Prions are a hypothesis and not a fact. It annoys me that they're taught as though it has been proven that they exist as an infectious particle.
=/

And yes, this is my current area of research. 😀 TSEs are awesome and scary. And likely caused by viruses. Or at least, likely not caused by magical proteins that encode disease without any DNA or RNA.

This thread holds over 40% of my posts. My SDN cred would go down the tubes if it were ever deleted.

I have sunburn on my face from being out on the quad today for a long time, yayyyyyy.

I never get sunburnt when I go to the beach, yet I always get sunburnt when I go to baseball games.

Where is everyone?

Guess I'm the only one still stuck at work 🙁

I was stuck in traffic, as always.👎

I am perpetually stuck in traffic, you see.

I have sunburn on my face from being out on the quad today for a long time, yayyyyyy.

I have sunburn on my ears from being on I495 for a long time.🙁
