Oh and berken had better watch out cause I am gaining on her third place!

Time for biostats studying... I have my midterm on Monday🙁

I need to start thinking of anniversary presents... any suggestions people? I feel like there is a special kind of gift you are supposed to give for 5 years but i have no clue what it is.

lol do men wear diamond rings?.. maybe I'll just get him another Red Sox memento

I know my guy would like a guitar. Or a car :laugh:. Or some really nice clothes, maybe?

For a guy OTHER than Mr. Nola: A Heuser watch (with an inscription on it?)? Very fine chocolates (or other food)? A promise ring?

Not sure...

OK guys, time for bed. I have posted too much as it is.

lol you are so funny!

I got him a Bulova watch for some holiday awhile ago... I've seen him wear it twice (good for nothing &%^*&). Uhhh I hate gift shopping for men. I have a month to figure it out.

You can buy a guy a case of his favorite beer and some boxers and he'd be happy.
 I like this suggestion. Altho, he doesn't drink that much so probably substitute coffee

Yeah men are HARD to shop for. Especially the ones who say they "don't want anything".

Does he follow sports at all? Maybe you could get him an engraved XXX? (where XXX = golf club or other sports equipment)?

BTW I am a terrible gift giver. But every person is different. Mr. Nola had to sit down with me and explain what a good gift for him would be (but in his case, towels and toilet paper were both on the list, so I really doubt that anything he said would be useful in your situation).

yea he's a big baseball fan so when in doubt I look to the Red Sox for help... as much as it pains me 🙁

Huh, maybe I should get Mr. Nola boxers that match the towels and toilet paper that are on his "wish list".:laugh:

(FTR, Mr. Nola does in fact HAVE toilet paper and towels, but he likes practical gifts -- things that, for example, would save him money).

Yeah I have to say I feel your pain.

I have a hard time picking out a gift that makes me wonder "why would anyone want this?" (for me, that extends to anything sports-related).

my pain comes from being a Yankee fan and having to see him use/wear whatever I get him & hear about the Red Sox

Blues, how is it going. Yup, you missed a lot of posts, but you are enjoying your last remnants of youth before med school.

By the way, what time is it in Kiwi-land?

would you believe USA Triathlon has a policy that males must wear tanktops/shirts/bibs in their races???
Apparently the sight of the male nipple is public indecency!
I had to buy a brand new suit (read: waste $120) the day before a huge race because of this policy 😡

I tried to tell those batman cretins that. Did they believe me? Noooo!
