having two hometowns is kinda different. i'll be coming here home (where my college is/ lot of college friends/ parents are) most times when I get a break. i'll actually make it to my hometown hometown for christmas and maybe a couple other times.

I never know what to call my hometown.

One where I was born and went up til junior high at, or where I moved during junior high and stayed though highschool.

We can go there if you want...but UCLA just cannot compare...you guys have been part of reason why the PAC-10 is always looked down upon.

And yeah we lost to Texas (b/c of Vince freakin' Young) but at least we were there...after having won a Natl championship the PREVIOUS TWO YEARS...ouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuch! Where was UCLA?...that's right either sitting at home or playing in some random bowl game.

Ohhhhhh and NOLA: Why is it that all the so called top teams in the SEC (LSWHO, the laughing stock of the SEC at least according to UGA fans...aka UF, Ugga is dead...aka UGA, and Runnnnnnnn Forrrrrrest Run...aka Alabama) avoid playing USC in early season non-conference games?

Don't make me go recruit annoying USC fans (yeah I can't stand most of the them b/c most don't even understand the game...ohhhhhhhh gawd don't get me started on them...and my dad wonders why I said hell no to USC :laugh:)

Well, which one do you consider more "home" to you?

I know a bunch of people who consider themselves "New Yorkers" even though they've only lived here for a few years and spent the majority of their lives elsewhere.

Probably the through HS one, they border so it's not really a big difference basically suburbia and more upscale suburbia.

Lol...So I found out I have a final tommorow for seminar. Idk how the hell im supposed to study ppls presentations? I think ill just wing it.
 
in other news, I found this really cool city info site online.

The town I'm moving to is one of the smartest in the state (highest % of highschool grads/college grads/higher level), has an above avg tornado risk (eek...but my apt has a saferoom), and has had no reported murders/rapes in the last five years.
 
then I leave the comfort of my cushy suburb, and the capital city has one of the highest crime rates in the state.

sigh.

trauma experience, I suppose. at least my ER and surgery rotations won't be boring :laugh:
 
I'm really a fan of random facts, so that website is 👍

its called like city info or city facts or something. yahoo search the name of your city and state + tornado and it should find it on the front page.
 
more women than men, more employed in healthcare (duh, suburb to the biggest hospital complex AND employer in the state), most commute less than twenty min to work... by car...

my bro in law is a huge LSU fan, and I like them alright - but I do think they can be overrated. I like Alabama and Florida... and of course, those Ole Miss Rebs are going to the top this year!!!!!!
