Really?! I was told jindarma=soldier in Turkish .... Me and my dad argued what language it was, my guess was Arabic since jind=army but my uncle whipped out a dictionary and I was wrong...😳

But yes Jandarma is what the Soldiers in Turkey are called...

I am only in my first year, so I really do not know that much😳

I also really want to learn ASL!

I probably should just go ahead and start learning all these languages. I'm not going to have more time than I do right now for many, many years.
 
and I am doing an away rotation in a spanish speaking country!!!

people will be calling me "EL GRAN JUANITO" when I am done

It is very interesting... you should learn it. Oh and while you are in Turkey, make sure to eat Tavukgogsu and Iskembe corbasi.

Yeah we use asker too.....lol, and I really know that one Turkish word because it's used in the song. So you will always be light years ahead of me 😀

I am never going to remember those names. :laugh: Emailing them to my bf and asking what they are and telling him to make sure I eat them.

I really like the sound of the language, but I think it's going to take me a bit to get the pronunciations right!

I remember the UT loading screen. I've seen it countless times... ah man. I was even hardcore enough to join a "clan" over that one summer. :laugh: Thankfully that was the only time I ever did something like that.. some of the other ppl out there take it waaaaaaaaaay too seriously. There were people who actually tracked down ppls' info and drove by their house, took pictures and posted them online. That definitely CROSSED the line.

The pronounciation is really hard.

Tavuk Göğsü is a sweet rice pudding with chicken breast added in...

Nevermind the 100+ hours I played to prepare. For once in my life, I was first-string.:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

😱 Will def. try the rice pudding, but I'll need a moment to decide it's okay to try tripe (I'll generally eat most things at least once though).
