Yeah, well my cycle went weirdly...

My first interviews were all kinda mid tier schools that took forever to decide, and I didn't have any super early interviews from the fast deciding schools so I didn't get my first acceptance from UW till mid november, so at that time I'd already interviewed at 11 schools including a bunch I wouldn't have interviewed at if I'd had an acceptance in hand. After that, every school that offered was top tier, so I went. I got UCI, USC, UCSD after I'd already had a better CA acceptance so I turned them all down. It was just a deluge of schools after November though, I had like an interview every week pretty much.

Yeah considering I could have ended my cycle Nov 16 and had the same result without going to any other schools... still though, I had no idea where I was going until I got made an offer I couldn't refuse 😀

my final interview invite was in october. then starting january i had at least 1 rejection every 2 weeks, adding up to 11 schools total.

capped off with mayo post-int rejection, and that weekend i get a letter in the mail with uw-madison 71st waitlist ranking

I WD from some of the schools I interviewed at before decisions if I didn't like them. I didn't like Mayo at all. After my interview debacle at Pitt I WD immediately but they sent me a rejection anyways haha.

**** so all that interview talk almost makes me wanna take 2 years off and reapply to Mayo

I'll have a paper by then, and I could get a MPH during the mean time. I got recruitment packet from UW SMPH recently.
