In other news...I KNEW Quentin was the carver all along (from the minute he arrived); however, I did not realize that "detective" was his sister and essentially an accomplice!!!

Ok now waiting for season 4 to arrive in the mail...must now order season 5
 
has anyone watched all of The Sopranos?

I am thinking about starting that series next
 
i thought NIP/Tuck was available online. Ive actually watched through the series. It gets more twisted by the minute and its just ridiculous. The carver series actually kinda made sense. It gets worse though. Can I spoil it for you?

ummmmmmm...so I am at work and I check the Lakers & Rockets score...only to see something I cannot believe!

I am wondering how much the refs must be helping them out! I did not know Houston recieved favors like Utah!!!

i just use a super super thin pillow, or just nothing at all. Otherwise I get neck cramps.

hmmm. I have this weird thing with my shoulder/lower neck that I haven't been able to get rid of since MCAT studying, lol. I am looking forward to OMM class :laugh: Maybe I'll give a tempurpedic pillow a try.....

hahaha, yeah, while interviewing the students told us that you either had the OMM skills or you didn't, sort of a hit or miss thing. I usually don't have any natural talent, so I am sort of nervous about the class.
 
maybe you could try enrolling in a massage therapy class over the summer at a local city college before med school starts?
I remember taking that a long time ago...and now I feel much better about touching others (lol--this isn't as pervy as it sounds).

why do you need to take OMM class? Are you taking it outside of med school as an extra?
 
nvm just read your mdapps, didn't realize your school is DO. I just assumed you were in a md school since the thread is in the pre-allo. I wish I applied to your school 😀 😍

somewhat, although I might not be able to do surgery. I'll find out. My dad has hand tremors too but his are a little more minor than mine, I'm not sure if I can do surgery yet. That would suck.

Also apparently at my dad's hospital in china they dont have peds cts. Just cts in general. Their cts program is huge, 8 OR's simultanously when its busy. His department generates 22% of the hospital (a top 5 hospital in china) annual income.

and although they don't have peds cts, most of their surgeries are performed on kids, congenital heart diseases.

Oh hm, tremors? Can you take diazepam for that? (lol, I only remember that because of Metal Gear Solid) Well, at least it's still an option for you. I'm not sure if I can do surgery, even if I wanted to.. the whole deaf thing kind of gets in the way.

not sure. I haven't had any troubles thus far with doing anything, so I haven't looked into treatments or anything.

Hmm, yeah I don't have trouble touching others (and that also isn't as pervy as it sounds, haha :laugh:) but people touching me...., I am EXTREMELY ticklish and I never even had a massage. So it will definitely be a mind over body type of thing for me :scared:

Houston yes, I really really pursued them, far more realistic for me than Baylor. Talked to the dean once.....and yeah, to see what happens after 5/15 will be interesting but I am not really expecting anything. Since TX is so cheap for residents most people opt to stay here for med school, and then the majority goes on to stay for residency too . We just all end up being perpetual Texans :laugh:
