Blizzards pretty much never have the potential to kill hundreds of people. And as long as you stay inside your survival is pretty much 100% guaranteed.

They are saying that windows broke at the Long Beach airport--maybe that gives you a better idea of where riceman.
 
well I am heading off to bed so I can get up for part 1 of my wonderful 2 a day before work

not really b/c Long Beach Airport is old and up to current earthquake safety standards....well but then again possibly b/c LAX is not really that far from Long Beach Airport

ahhhhhhhh well

Buildings built nowadays in California must be able to withstand at least a 6.2 earthquake

The only time you hear those high death tolls is when earthquakes occur in ill-equipped regions of the world where there is no such thing as maintaining proper building safety regulations

Well, they are certainly taking their time to upgrade many of the older buildings...but you're right, the deathtolls we saw for example in the earthquake in China are likely not going to happen in an American earthquake.

I figured it out as soon as he grabbed Meredith's hand at the MRI or whatever. I'm curious where Shonda will go with this... I guess she kind of left it open for them to make up their minds.


I have to admit George looked kinda cute in that uniform tho 😀

SDN - in the very first episode of grey's, george's patient died during a simple procedure... he got the name 007 - license to kill.
 
I'm off to work in this frigid mississippi summer 😆

dunno what's with the cold, but its awfully nice. maybe the temperature at work will reflect accordingly.... (warmer since its colder out). I doubt it.

Morning everyone! Currently :scared:, hoping the phone will ring; trying to calm myself though.
 
Normally I would try to act like I have something fun and exciting planned for a three day weekend, but I'm actually looking forward to sitting around and doing nothing this weekend.

As much as I would love to be doing that, I'm taking 3 days off ahead of that weekend and packing my stuff! Doomsday approaches!
 
i think I am working until med school starts (and teaching!)... ugh. I really don't want to give this up since I have 2-3 first authors on the line and I just don't want to have my name moved down. oh, well, might as well work harder to turn it into a good thing.
