Class of 2013!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I am in doubt as to when I should really start studying. I want to start now, but I don't know how much help that will be. Perhaps I should wait until the transition between 1st and 2nd year.

I'm gonna read first aid along with my classes, and use BRS too. Then I can review at the end.

I try to give him the benefit of the doubt since I also listen watch Madow's show sometimes...but this is getting annoying

He really really really loves to hear him talk!

Is he a narcissist (among other things)?

I'm not. I don't have a history of nailing standardized tests...hopefully Step 1 will be different though since I guess the goals of most schools is to have their students do well on the boards. Bio classes in undergrad for the MCAT? Not so much. Even Kaplan deserves a 👎 in my book.

I just read transcripts from his site. I love him simply because he was right about so many things and we both called the failed bailouts that Bush did. I haven't read it lately because I cannot stand anything going on in politics
don't give a sht about kidnappings
don't care about the obvious wagging the dog of pelosi's bullsht
plagiarism? who cares
Obama failing? I don't care
GM/Chrysler going bankrupt? I called it and want them to burn to the ground.

That and I loved his visit to the white house for his birthday. George W Bush ordering peanut butter and jelly sandwich = 👍.

For the record, I'm ticked about the Hurricanes/Pens game yesterday.

MCAT is the first standardized test i've sucked at. Once I was prepared, I did much better... so I'm hoping starting OUT prepared will do well for boards 🙂

trying to figure out what I am going to do today to get a workout...could go for a run...hit some golf balls...or play some tennis

Agreed. But I'm a little conflicted too because 99.99999% of MS2s and beyond say not to bother studying before a few months prior to the boards, that it just can't all be absorbed while working on current course material. I definitely made a huge improvement when I changed my study methods for the MCAT and hope to apply said habits but its just a matter of when do I start and what books to use.

For any specific reason, or simply that the Penguins won?

Must you ask?

Sorry to conjure up bad memories.

I absorb pretty well normally, so I'm hoping studying for boards is just review for me.. :xf:

I have two brothers, so any time we're all together it's a guarantee that the three of the chicken dances will come out. On occasion we even get our father to do George senior's.

Lemme guess...you have Gob's?

here's my 5-day official probationary status hold:

1. Lyss
2. Azn
3. Yoda
4. Pianola
5. Myuu :meanie:
6. funky
....and a whole host more!!!!

At least I'm not first 😛

For the record, I'm ticked about the Hurricanes/Pens game yesterday.

Sorry, couldn't resist 😀

Which is hilarious, seeing as he's gone somewhat deaf.

:boom::boom::boom::boom::boom::boom::boom::boom::boom:

I had one, but I never did figure out what the difference between that and a perfectly ordinary taco was... aside from the color.
Me too; not spicy at all. I was fully expecting steam from my ears... no such luck 🙁

They, like the Steelers, cheated in the last game. You remember how many missed calls there were, Myuu? MY GOODNESS!

I did not watch that last Penguins game, but I did see a number of cars with a maddening amount of paraphernalia on them. And then I thought, "oh, right, I'm in Pittsburgh."

No, no I meant the Caps game. Not last night. Sorry.

Yup, I think I'm going to hate it when I actually start accumulating stuff like furniture and a wife and kids and stuff... those aren't going to be as easy to pack up and move when I need to 😉:meanie:

I too fear the accumulation of wives and kids.

Ugh moving...I have so much crap at my house and am downgrading to a dorm. This is not gonna be fun.

I'm really only supposed to occupy one room in this house, but my crap is all over the place.

I imagine I'm going to learn really quickly what kinds of things I will not have room for.:laugh::laugh:🙁

I bought this awesome antique wardrobe too (love Craigslist) and have a chair from my grandparent's old place -- you know, the one you could never sit on as a kid -- and a couple things from Ikea that could stand to just be scrapped, but I want to keep that stuff and my bed for when I get my apartment for MS3/4. Save me some money for 2 years down the road...but I don't know what kinda shape the bed will be in after not being used and stored in a basement for a couple years 😱

Mom's gonna love when I dump my stuff off at her house 😀

I'm getting a moving van for my med school move, and we're getting it like 2 days before so we can take our time packing. Yay for one-vehicle moves!

I have a few furniture items, so moving is going to blow! Once wife and kids come into the equation, I doubt I'll have the patience. Hiring someone to do it for me FTW.

Gotta save money somehow, right 😳 I'm looking it as a personal $9k scholarship because I'm living on campus for two years. I'm sad that its at the cost of not having my dog with me though

LOL, no worries RR, they fit in a U-Haul pretty nicely as well, just bubble wrap them  furniture=wife=kids=stuff hahahaha

I am shipping back most of my clothes this week...nothing else except my histology, biochem, and genetics books

I too fear the accumulation of wives and kids.

Wives? 😱

you are moving everything back?

Basically, yes. Boxes of clothing, blankets, papers/books, my desk chair and futon. Well, I'm trying to unload my window air conditioning unit too, but I think I might still have room for that if I can't sell it. I'm not sure if I'll be able to move my desk (depends on room) though.

Today I woke up at 230...FML

What's wrong with that? Some of us would like to be able to do that, lol 😛

I would have done if I had the option, it's convenient. EXCEPT, what is the bathroom situation? :scared:
