🙁 BOO! Sort of know how you feel, my Cancun vacation(NOTHING compared to Spain though) is pretty much not going to happen....and although I would be ok with it, I don't think my parents would appreciate me going alone

Well I am back in TX by July and I have a car, I think SA would be a 4 hour drive from Fort Worth (nothing for us Texans, haha). So I am so there. Spurs would probably be needed though, lol, since I don't know San Antonio all that well. Austin is my city 😍

I have never been to Texas (I know and yes I am ashamed) but have always wanted to. I'd be down for a July trip!

You are not missing much
and don't bother with Houston...unless you want to be tempted by fatty food everywhere (moreso than in most large cities)...or unless you like flooding rains, hurricanes, tornadoes, snakes (including poisonous ones), pollution (2nd most polluted city and they don't even have mountain ranges nearby ), pick up trucks with a shotgun in the cab , nasty humidity (it is called the armpit of the US for a reason), and bayous!!!!



Austin is cool I hear...I have actually never been!

Dallas is bleh and crickets...San Antonio is meh (you spend 5 min there and you've seen everything ) and the weather is just as bad as Houston's (except they do not get hurricanes...only what is left over after it has been downgraded)

avoid MOST of Texas like the plague!!!

LOL...and watch me end up down there for residency! LOL...I'll be down there this summer

Yeah, I tried doing that here, but I didn't know where to start. Like, it was a regurgitation of his ECs list, and then talking in detached rhetoric about what he'd do if he got to be a doctor. Not a single vividly-told story in there at all, or really much explanation of how ECs like working at the mall for 5 years makes him qualified for med school.
