My undergrad and (hopefully) MD diploma, residency and fellowship certificates, are all going on my wall, along with anything else I get along the way (AOA if I'm ambitious enough).

I think people do hang diplomas there. One of my interviewers had an entire wall of framed certificates--I am not exaggerating. AOA, diplomas, awards for doctor of the year...
 
Raaska! Question for you; how does the weekend of July 18th sound for you? Also, I think we should just stick Austin. I want to find out if all these praises are deserved.

Sounds good to me! 🙂 I'll leave right after "class" on the 17th, and leave late on the 19th (it's a short drive from Austin to DFW!). Mandatory orientation on the 20th🙁

Are you booking tickets as we speak/type?!

Hey now, Raaska and Chubbs have a fb relationship now, I'm not about to step on my buddy's toes... that's not my style. Furthemore, we're hoping Chubbs is going to join in on the Austin fun.

🙁 Lol, I already sifted through his post history. He said he was planning on being in New Orleans that weekend.......so I think I am going to have withhold some kind of fb virtual sexy time to convince him to come to Austin instead :laugh:

Ah, withhold that! Though he is on a recent celibacy kick. How far away is D/FW from Austin?
 
Ok Swarley, instead of trying to recommend specific hotels, I'll just let you know what areas to look in. I don't know how you do it, but I look up hotels through sidestep.com or one of those massive search vacation sites, and take the address and plug into Google Maps to get an idea of the location.

-> Downtown Austin is pretty sweet, but it might expensive
-> South Congress Ave (SoCo) has some non-chain hotels, and is really the definition of Austin. Again, might be expensive? Go look up the Austin Motel though :laugh:
->Anything around UT Austin will be legit
->Maybe try and avoid hotels that are sitting right on IH-35, those are hit and miss....depends
->Austin is very quirky/hippy, so you'll find a lot of bed and breakfasts and such, so if you're interested, those would be a cool stay

Bye Raaska. A friend of mine who is living in D/FW is going to be coming down to Austin that weekend also. I'll work on Chubby and put out a general invitation. Who all is going to be in Texas this summer, you should plan on coming to Austin the weekend of July 18th.

Also, looks like I can get a good deal on a hotel that's just about 4-5 miles south of downtown. Reviews are good and looks nice.
 
I have an interview for a lifeguard job tommorw..wtf am i supposed to wear to that?

Stress makes my hair fall out.

Thankfully, I've got so much of it that it could probably fall out every day and it wouldn't even be noticeably thin until my 80s or 90s. :laugh:
