Quick commentary on the bball game last night.
First off, I love how physical these playoffs have been. A few cheap shots here and there, but for the most part it just seems like each team really wants it.
In that vein, the refs have to be more consistent with their calls. They'll let everything go for 10 minutes, then the next 15 there's a whistle every 20 seconds.
It's awesome to see other guys step up when Melo is struggling.
Also, my buddy and I were talking about this yesterday. Which sport do you think has the highest general arrogance? We decided it was basketball. Furthermore, we decided that Denver has the biggest egos of any team. Furthermore, J.R. Smith probably has the biggest ego on the Nuggets. Just watch him after he makes any shot. All that said, the Nuggets still play as a team, so it's cool.
Overall, I hope all series go to 7 in all close games. Yeah, I know, that's the most obvious statement I can make. It is just refreshing to see this kind of drive in the NBA.
Though I know that everyone, NIKE especially, is hoping for a Kobe vs. LeBron final; but I hope that it's Denver/Cleveland final. I hope that the refs let them play and its the most physical final ever. Though that is probably impossible, if you watch old school basketball, they beat the crap out of eachother. Never the less, hopefully it is entertaining.
