dude it is too cold up there...I mean the Pacific is cold but if you wear a seal suit (wet suit) you are fine. And you can take a dip in the Pac Ocean without a wet suit

Yeah, you can surf up on Lake Superior. A wet suit is a must and even then it's pretty cold. For the most part, our surfing has been limited to vacations and wavepools. There are a few lakes with large enough beaches for some skim boarding, but not too many.

womp womp!!!!

Our biggest swells come in during the winter when we get storms...up to 10 feet...ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh yeah! I used to surf at Malibu or Huntington, but I knew a few crazies who almost lost their life trying to surf at Zuma. Zuma gets some of the biggest waves, but they break sooooooooo close to a shallow sandbar that if you get caught in a barrell...lol...you're dead

In the summer the south facing beaches get large swells when hurricanes ride up the Mexican Riviera. You just have to watch out for nasty rip currents!

Ohhhhhhhhhhh man I am getting psyched just talking about the beach b/c my LAST DAY AT WORK IS THIS FRIDAY and I'll be home on Sat (God willing)....

Sigh...then back to the East (read "weak" coast) for a month

13 for me 🙁 But next week I only work 2 days. Then I work the following weekend plus Monday & Tuesday, then I'm off to Oregon. Then I return the next week for Tuesday - Friday and I'm finished!

I'd quit much sooner if my lease wasn't through July and I had nothing better to do...but I'm broke and need to make a dent on my credit card debt 👎
 
Anybody else following the French? Baghdatis and Fish got knocked out and Djokovic won today... boo! JC Fererro is in a tight 5th; he's one of my favorites so hopefully he can pull it off.

Yup, I'm working 2 days next week, then 2 full weeks before my last day on 6/19.

I don't really follow tennis until it gets close to the championship rounds. It'll probably be Federer-Nadal again anyway :laugh:

If it is Federer-Nadal, I hope Federer crushes him. I am not a fan of Nadal and love Federer. I think it's about time for Murray to make a run though.

I dunno, I always thought Federer was a little too arrogant for his own good. I'm glad Nadal has had his number recently. That oughta take him down a peg or two 😛

Well, I don't think the poll specified brain, but rather "heart/other organs." I wonder how many actually responded "brain," though, and how those determinations are made...
